Cigarettes and Joints

Cigarette smokers simply cannot be good judges of cannabis quality. I just smoked my first joint since quitting tobacco (for the third [possibly 79th] time in my life). I'm 14 days without tobacco. I can FINALLY taste the weed, again. The overall pleasure of the ganja smoking experience is so much greater when the lungs aren't being assaulted by tobacco smoke for most of the day, ya know?

'I've quit cigarettes (for months at a time) several times, and I remember feeling this way each time. I can—once again—taste the subtle nuances in the taste of the burning weed.

Luckily I've only been a smoker for 6 years or so. Stupid. But as a 6 year tobacco smoker, I even stopped writing strain reviews for magazines. If I can't taste the weed, I can't write about what I taste. Simple. I wasn't loving the weed anymore. What a shame. What a REASON to never smoke tobacco again.

When I am a tobacco smoker, weed is for getting high only, because it doesn't taste good, just gets me high. However, when I'm not a tobacco smoker, and my lungs are healthy, cannabis smoking becomes CONSIDERABLY more pleasurable.

I wrote this to remind my own dumb ass to never smoke tobacco again, because I love weed so much more when I'm not a cigarette smoker, and because it may help someone else in some way.

Peace and love. Peace—and—love.

I don't know... I like vaping a lot, then smoking a little. Two different experiences.

We bought the Pax 2 vape after I quitting tobacco last, and have been using it a few times a day ever since. I like it, but sometimes I just want a real jernt, you know. I can enjoy a joint a LOT more now that my lungs have healed somewhat from the cigarettes.

My tobacco habit started when my family made a major geographical move, we moved to another state. I loved smoking joints while jaunting through the local forest. However, when we were moving, I ran out of weed to smoke, so I started smoking hand-rolled American Spirit tobacco, instead of joints. This is where I got hooked on tobacco. So, the trick for me has been: get back into the habit of smoking joints, rather than cigarettes. I'm trying to get hooked on weed! :) But it's just not addicting! :) Only the ritual of smoking the weed becomes a habit.

Anyway... I'm smoking the Legend OG Kush, a clone given to me—ever so graciously—by the mountain mad man going by the name of Tom Hill. Thanks again for that, Tom. I'm still high.

I bet food taste better too!

I smoked a lit of cigarettes in my teen years. I am very grateful I was able to stop. I still remember the days when I preferred a ciggie over smoking weed

I meant vaping e-juice. I quit smoking completely within one month of starting to vape and never looked back. Get yourself a good rig with a quality juice and cigarettes become a nasty pointless habit. I have to move if someone lights a cig near me. Makes me wanna gag.

I never smoked cigs but have been burning cannabis steadily since 1974; although I 1st toked in '69 I was too young to have and keep a steady source.

Recently my oxygen absorption levels were getting dangerously low, down in the high 70's as of 3 months ago. I decided to quit smoking weed and then eventually no more vaping.

This coupled with me using a BIPAP machine had my absorption level @ 91 yesterday but I've lost my best pain killer by quitting, and believe me, I'm in some serious pain now.

Now I've got to get into edibles.......

I really need to just quit tobacco.. I started when I was about 7 constantly by 9 weed also. Now I'm really starting to feel the damage on my lungs. I still look young but how long will that last lol.

I give up harder stuff so why so hard for this shit. I don't smoke straights unless I'm out where I can't smoke herb. Then I tend to chain smoke.. One thing I never used to do.

I need to wake tomoro and just say no! Damn tobacco, sugar n processed food 1 thing at a time.

I like weed mixed with tobacco, personally.

But , having smoked both for a long while it is now my mission to make my crops big enough to switch to pure weed in a vaporiser.. For health rather than anything else

Have been cigarette-free for 1 year to the day. Cannot express how happy I am that I was able to kick that nasty, expensive habit. The first few months were torture but after that it has been easy. Absolutely love that I am now able to taste and breathe better. Hope youre able to stay strong CC.

I used to know someone who did something called "Poison Snorkels." It was finely ground weed, mixed with a little tobacco (usually Bali Shag), and packed into one of those plastic one hitter bongs. Hell of a rush but not for me.

Edibles / drinkables work better anyway. If you do it right. I wouldn't miss smoking or vaping if I can keep my tincture and capsule collection.

I quit a year and a half ago. Just keep telling yourself that if you don't smoke again you won't have to quit again. Starting is easy its the quiting that is tough. Good Luck stay stronger than the cravings.
