March 10: Out of Exile, Into the Streets!
RISE UP, RESIST, RETURN

It's time for us to RISE UP and get out of the monotony of our day-to-day exile life and get into the streets to protest China's continued illegal occupation of Tibet.

The Chinese government wants the world to believe our fight is over. They say Tibet is a part of China and Tibetans are happy under Chinese rule. We must RESIST their lies and fight back. Our people continue to suffer each and every day - denied their basic human rights and freedom.

We live in exile because we cannot live freely in our own land. But the fact remains: Tibet belongs to Tibetans and we have the right to rule ourselves.

It is critical for us to reclaim the spirit of rangzen shown by Tibetans in Lhasa on March 10, 1959 so that one day we may RETURN to our homeland and future generations of Tibetans may live their lives as they see fit in a free and independent Tibet.

On March 10, 1959, Tibetans took to the streets of Lhasa to actively resist the Chinese invasion of Tibet. Tens of thousands of Tibetans risked their lives to protect their nation and their beloved leader, His Holiness the Dalai Lama. They gave of themselves so that future generations could live to continue the fight and regain the freedom of
Tibet.

This March 10, we will honor their memory and their sacrifice.

IT’S TIME TO TAKE MARCH 10 BACK!

Help us make 2007 the biggest March 10 observation since 1959.

We’ll show China, and the world, Tibetan resistance lives on.
