Great work man!! What is the lineage of the Red?? Much love! :respect: :joint: SL :tree: :shooty:

I will soon find out. I was given these mystery clones by a mystic grower of epic proportions. They were moving and I was gifted these cuts. They didn't tell me any names only that I should take them on their own merit and if I worked hard to master these strains I will be rewarded GREATLY.

So here I am.. trying to refine these girls and earn the respect of the mystic donor. Then, when the time is right this donor will reappear in my life to disclose the names. They did leave me a few clues...

2x 9 weeks species, 2x 11 week species and one of them is the Original Sweet Skunk and the Red is definitely the other 11 week species ;P *I've guessed the sweet skunk 3 times already and I've been told that I've guessed wrong twice... hehe I just don't have enough experience with different plants to know what I'm growing. but ehy, whats in a name? I can't wait to unlock the potential in these cuts.

All will be revealed soon... if anyone notices any similarities.. please feel free to let me know what you think they kind of look like.. :)

I'm almost ready to wrap up this thread. Maybe a new journal... maybe not... Haven't decided yet. I may just take a break. Either way, this journal has become too large and packed full of too much info that only a small fraction care about. If I decide to do another journal it will be a slimmed down version of this journal. less boring information and just have harvest shots to give the people what they want.

In these changing times its best too be off the radar, then on...

I hope everyone has a great June. Thanks for tuning in...

for the record, i like your nerdy info posts.

but then again, i'm a giant nerd :D

THANKS!!! HD and HB Its great to hear that you folks love my nerdy posts hehe Maybe I should start a new thread called the Chiefs Natural Soil and Nerd-a-torium  To bring in other like minded ppl like the two of you. I think my current thread only fishes for people who think I have a big factory in production hehe 99% of the people that stop by must think its kind of misleading.

I'm small potatoes, maybe even small hashbrowns in a world of big ol' potatoes. :p

Thanks again for the support! In under an hour your two have convinced me a little more to stick around and start a new thread. Its good to have you folks as friends. I appreciate it greatly.

:yeahthats

Agreed! Keep it comin' chief!

I like your style, your setup, and your situation. I bet it's great to be able to provide good medicine for your girlfriend, .. My wife doesn't smoke and doesn't have any interest, but she tolerates me..

Your situation is like +eleventy from that. ;)

I feel you - sometimes maintaining the log or thread becomes more tedious or cumbersome than the garden itself! (Limiting me to five pictures and/or smileyguys per post doesn't make life easier). But threads like this, that are informative and interactive/responsive (and pretty!) are priceless!

Already getting my lawn chair (read: cooler) ready for the next one!

:friends:

[*]Sentinel Professional Lighting Controller with high Temp shut-down

Chief, could you elaborate a bit on this?

[*]50 ft of 2" wedge soundproofing

Interesting. What's the application - are the walls of the room itself lined? Just the door? Around fans?

It's been some time, so I decided to come start back at the beginning to refresh myself exactly what you're cookin' with.. This is a really great thread!

Chief, could you elaborate a bit on this?

Of course SH. After those kind words from you and the other special friends, I find myself with some extra motivation to keep at it. I will most likely start a new thread to restate my new growing philosophy and knowledge. I might just make a link page back to the important bits of info in this thread.

back to your questions:
"
[*]Sentinel Professional Lighting Controller with high Temp shut-down"

702585_Sentinel-HID2.jpg

From the company:

The HID-2 HID Lighting Controller is the simplest and BEST lighting controller you can buy.

The HID-2 has many features including a 24-hour DIGITAL time-clock that is extremely accurate and EASY to use. It has a battery backup to ensure continued function even after power outages.

The HID-2 comes with a remote temperature sensor that detects unsafe temperatures and will activate the "Hi-temp shutdown" feature if air temperature rises above the adjustable set point that the user selects. This feature will protect plants from overheating by disabling HID lights in the event of a ventilation or cooling failure.

The "Hot-start" prevention feature ensures that your HID lamps will cool properly before re-firing in the event power is momentarilly turned off.

The HID-2 also has the ability to stagger-start 2 separate lighting banks with an adjustable time delay to eliminate large power spikes. Or if the user chooses the second output can be selected to be a NIGHT only output.

From Me: I have one timed outlet running to a Sentinel High Power HID 4000w Controller and the 2nd outlet switched to 24 hrs ON. Which is attached to my carbon filter/fan and a circulating fan.

HPH-4corner%201.jpg

About the 4000w controller:
When trying to control more than one HID lighting system, you can either use a bunch of timers OR the HPH-4. The HPH-4 makes it simple to control up to 4000 watts of lighting from a single timer or controller. The HPH-4 has FOUR UNIVERSAL receptacles that accept either a 120-volt or 240-volt male plugs from your HID ballasts. 30-amps @ 120 / 240-volt

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Have a professional install this system! The instructions for some reason had a mistake where you attach the wires in the junction box. Maybe there is a difference between the great white north and our southern neighbors when it comes to elect. work but it seemed weird. Either way, my electrician caught the issue and wired it right the first time.

And for your final question:
"
[*]50 ft of 2" wedge soundproofing Interesting. What's the application - are the walls of the room itself lined? Just the door? Around fans?
"

critical points like doors fans, aircon and roof above and walls nearby.

The room used to echo but after we installed carpets and false sound blocking walls and we tried to eliminate as many deep corners as possible. 50 ft was used up quickly and we could have used maybe 50ft more, but this made a HUGE difference in overall sound dampening. It attached easily with staples even though it came with a foam glue. *PLUS its class A fire rated. Its a self extinguishing foam in case of an emergency.

Ganja Hasi has pointed out that I can just change the name of this thread. So I'm thinking of changing the name and redesigning a cover page with a link to each important info page.

Then I can restate my new philosophy and we can keep the bulk of the info accessible to everyone.

Thanks for all the kind words budman! very appreciated
