CHEMDOG 91 X GALACTIC JACK = STARSHIP 91

Just dusted my Cali Connection Chem 91 mom with a strong smelling and vigorous Sin City's Galactic Jack (Aliendog v2 x Sour Jack). Very excited about these.

Anybody else tried something similar? All opinions welcome. :dance013:

Only opinion necessary is to say that the plants shouldn't be called '91 anything seeing as it's a Cali Connection seed line you are working with and NOT the cut...

Just like swerve to rip off names...

I'm sorry...I'm not a part of the participation trophy generation...

If someone doesn't like facts, there are plenty of others sites out there that cater to playing patty cake.

Nothing wrong with spurring OP to learn the history behind what he is growing...

I respect your opinion dank frank, although you do sound a lil hostile about it. Either way, I can call it whatever I please. It still comes from Chem91. Just like all the OG kush crosses that are bred are still called og kush something. It's just a name. Relax

I agree with Frank. Doesn't mean it's won't be a fire cross because it does sound tantalizing but what he said does ring true. CC's strains bear little to no resemblance to the cuts they're named after and continuing the naming scheme is a losing proposition. Names are in fact very important if the product is ever intended for consumption outside your immediate circle.

That said welcome to the community and I for one look forward to seeing your project progress.

ECtraveler thanks. I think it will turn out pretty dank as well. The Galactic Jack reaks and the females I have are real fire. The CC chem 91 is dank as well, and is not exactly too far off from the skva clone which I have sampled medicine from.

I suppose I can work on the name.... Did not mean to ruffle any feathers

No feathers ruffled here. I just meant to agree that the name would likely be better represented without the 91 designation. Besides a "GSC" sample everything I've tried from CC has been good just not close enough to the original for my liking and like I said I'm a stickler for names.

Haven't tried the Galactic Jack but Sin City's gear is solid.

Yeah, also - no feathers ruffled. It's just so many times people come in to growing and ARE NOT aware of the histories behind strain names - or breeders for that matter - and for a lot of us, it makes a difference what you call something...

You wouldn't call a pear and apple or a tomato a cucumber...

I think from a botanical / horticultural perspective it is important to call things what they are.

I DO APPRECIATE - that you at least gave the designation that it was CC gear in the first place, which is more than most people take the time to do...

It wasn't my intention to offend or be off putting - It's good to have you at ICm and I certainly wouldn't wish you a lack luster crop - regardless of the origins!!!

Sorry for putting a damper on the thread. :tiphat:

Good luck - keep 'em green!

Yes ECtraveler I know what you mean about the CC not being like the originals but this particular mom I have is pretty damn close. I have a couple buddies that do have the original and I have never felt the need to replace her in the 2 or more years I have had her. Plus I already have her all dialed in and you know that is, why ruin a good thing. lol

Dank Frank no problem amigo, yes I well aware of Swerves history and bad reputation, as I am by no means new to growing. However I have gotten a couple gems from his seeds in the past. I realize that is not the norm though for most folks and so I understand the standoffishness towards the Cali Connect gear. I've been around for a while under a different handle but because of security issues I have never really posted much of anything. Now that I only grow/breed for myself legally, I feel a little safer about sharing some of my projects with the IC community.

Time to dust off this thread because I just popped a few beans from this cross.... Can't wait to see what comes of these magic beans :)

I have to agree with dankfrank, although my dislike stretches to CaliConn and Raskal. I found nothing but hermis and knock-offs of unstable and abused clones. Their stuff really does not do true justice to the California medical clone scene but to each their own. :)

When people like CaliConn (swerve) use the pollen chucking method to the clones that all California medical patients have access to for about 8$ each, it is not true to the genetics.. (and yes, the common NorCal closet boy has access to Chem'91, Jack Herer, Sour Diesel, BlueDream, Gorilla Glue#4, Blah OG1, Blah OG2, Blah OG3, ect..)

Example:.. Raskal and Swerve buy 50 clones of "Chem'91", they exchange it, the clones age and have changing light cycles, and after these loose operations pass the clone around and change the light cycle 200x, the genetics start to drift and hermis start being produced like crazy. Raskal and CaliConn "breeding" do not do any justice to the clones we get in NorCal for less than $10 each.

Anyway, Good luck with the grow, Dawg! :)

PSIHAZE, thanks for your comment but, I think we already moved passed the whole Cali Conn thing... Anyway I have these seeds so let's see what comes out of them..

Also, I DO now have the "REAL SKUNK VA" CHEM91, so I will also be dusting it with some Galactic Jack, as well as my best Alien Dawg and Sour Diesel cuts once I reverse them..

Just so everybody can see the quality of the female I used here is some sample dry/cured flower shots from the last batch.. Ok maybe be is a lil more on the kushier side than the sk.va  ,but whatever it is, I sure as hell like her. I am sure crossed to Galactic Jack (Aliendawgv2 x SourJack) it will be a winning combo

Just remember that you are working with poly hybrid genetics as well as proven hermi genetics.. It is my guess that all of the females will look different and half will be hermis - hopefully, none have hermi self-seeds but those hermi bananas are usually pretty harsh.

In case you are wondering, here is my Chem'91 (clone) x Jack Herer (Sensi Seeds) - non-hermi clone. Aka, ChemJack. ;)

Right on shishkaboy cc does have the real one I realize a lot of folks have not had good luck with his gear but I happened to find some good ones. Just have to pop a few to find them. Anyway I also decided to go ahead and hit the REAL SKVA CHEM 91 with a few of the best starship 91 males and this will be the new and improved version of the Starship 91 and later one a few crosses within the alien/chem lines.

Live an learn... why bother with hermie prone lines.... heavy with marketing and name rippin.. do more research and u will find real breeders who care about their custies... real breeding done right is the same if not cheaper than marketed crap.... no offense ive smoked on some bomb cc gear... would never grow it in case of herms tho...

Best of luck... will be lurking... hope it turns out fire!!
