Some one mentioned that Schroomy's original diesel is not the headband. Can some one help me out with this one? What is it? 91 chemdawg?

Just to clear a few things up. The real Original Diesel is the 91 Chem Dawg. It was renamed the "Diesel" after coming to NYC. It was crossed with a MSS/NL male. It was known as Diesel #1 or Underdawg. After a few years a couple of different crews started calling it their own names. Daywrecker and Headband and I think that people found seeds in this and in the 91 Chem and started calling those strains the same names.

Great thread hl enjoying my ed. in chem 101. on the grow side i grew some green thumb og seeds and got a very different pheno that looks just like the orig chem. dident have the lemon og smell but was unique in its high and taste, and look.

thanks for the clarification jj. so there are more than two 'original diesel' cuts i guess: '91 chemdawg, '91 chem x (mss x nl), and then numerous bagseeds of the latter. sucks not really knowing which is which. im sure it being available in med clubs isnt helping the lineage patterns too much.

I would assume '91 chem x (mss x nl) because he has all the dawgs and would know if original d and '91 chem were the same.

ibtokin - it's the Original Diesel that is said to be Chem x [mssxnl]... gone around with this description for many years... Lots of pics around... check this thread, elite or clone only description thread and also clone only mayhem thread (I'll be updating that one with more OD pics in the next week...) all the flower pics forum.

Based on the writeup JJ-NYC did at OG a while back Dawg was known as "Diesel" as a nickname in NYC, then a cross to the MSSxNL was made and that cross was known as "Original Diesel", "Diesel #1", and "Underdawg", other nicknames came up too... and based on the last post from him there was also bagseed that got around which people also used the same names for. It sounds pretty difficult to decipher what's what with all the names and bagseed that came out of it. Just like OG.... JJ, please let me know if that isn't captured correctly.

Best to just grow and decide if you like it. I personally am fond of the cut that has circulated as "Original Diesel", which again is the same one Swerve has cut loose on the West Coast.

hey stretch, pretty sure that's the same one I'm growin do any of you guys have the 91 dawg to run her against? I wont be running any new cuts for a long time... it would be cool to see those 2 flower side by side in the same op.

Sorry, but the "Original Diesel" from Shroomy is NOT Diesel1,Daywrecker, Underdog, or Headband... i remember when it made it's way around,about 2-3 years ago.along w jack cleaner and Abusive kush. The cleaner was by far the best out of the three... since Shroomy's OD taste WAY different than any Diesel,underdog or chemdog.there's no diesel taste, just like there's no diesel lemon taste in the abusive og. NO disrespect to m-steelers or shroomy, or anyone else who likes it..just want everyone to know what's up, so if it's shroomy's D1 that's going around west coast, it doesn't seem to be the real thing.

Whatever, no disrespect Phil. I have smoked dawg and this od cut side by side and they tasted almost exactly the same... I would just like to see them grown side by side.. Schroomy had 2 diesel cuts as mentioned several times, whichever one he sent to whom is something I do not know, nor want to know. What am I crazy to think that all this time that the cut smelled and tasted like diesel? I must have been, boy do I feel fucking retarded, thanks for showing me the light!...

Why now does this all come up when no one has said shit for the last 4 years? I'm done with the whole discussion... just not worth getting worked up over anymore until someone does a side by side grow and can preach truth. The cuts are out there, someone needs to do it, someone we can trust.

sounds like there needs to be a run-off in the near future. i can get ahold of the 'original diesel' that came from schroomery, the one i know for a fact is legit from nyc, and the real '91 chem. sounds like another project im going to have to put on the 'to-do' list. m.steelers, you've got me interested too...

thats why i like to run all the cuts side by side.. when i get abck in september. i will be setting up another nice fat huge dawg grow along with more ogs and more orignal diesel and ecsd in the mix... so .. but yeah i would like to know what the deal-o is as well

And to initiate a pre-emptive reply to those who think I am making up nonsense about 2 different Diesel cuts, here's the original (no pun) list. D-Diesel and Original Diesel are both on there... When I asked him for the original Diesel clone he said "which one do you want", and I said, "the real one of course"... and I was given the "Original Diesel". I don't have any reason to bullshit you guys. If you want to reach out to s420 to find out how he came to get either of them, then by all means please do so!
