lemon juice is very acidic and can be diluted to water and spot treated on powdery mildew late into flowering and will lower ph to a point to where the pm won't grow. I was given the purple urkle and told it is more prone to powdery mildew than most strains. the most resistant strain in my friends garden is bull rider it rarely gets any pm even when every thing aroud it is covered in it

You're gonna' enjoy 'er.[/QUOTE]

That's putting it mildly... ;)-~

after further rigorous testing smoking both phenos, we concluded not to keep the pheno3...she was culled although she was quite potent and tasty...the pheno4 was just frostier, not as stress sensitive, and had a noticeably stronger, lingering, more pleasing flavor left on the pallete...just about to start a new run of just chem dawg pheno 4, purple urkle and maybe slide in a few of the yet to be tested cuts of pink kush and double dawg...Sulfur burn starts today!

cheers~!

save your time and cull the pink kush now its garbage imo, a waste of resources. chem 4 looks great thanks for sharing the shots.

J.B. sent me some #4 a few weeks ago. Smoked some then and it was still a little fresh and very stony. I then lost a nice nug that i set out to dry. Found it last night!! It was twice as strong after the three week cure. It was bone dry and a little harsh tasting but the expansion was amazing and as stony as the chemdog D. #4 is a keeper!!

Good to know pbud...you seem to be one of the very few who has smoked them both...would you say the d has a smoother flavor than the four?

Chem d has a better taste but the 4 expands more if that makes sense. 4 has a more chemmy taste to me.

thanks for clarifying pbud, that makes perfect sense...would love to try the chem d one day, if its more tasty and smoother than pheno 4, then WOW..I hear what your saying about the four being real chemmy and strong tasting (might be too strong a flavor for some) but that flavor shines through beautifully on the aftertaste, nice pungenty, chemmy, fuelly, dieselly flavor, but not kushy...
