She's been purpling and hungry since the 4th wk of flower. Imagine how she is supposed to look...
This plant is pure fire.
I've got another one behind her...closing in on 3wks now. It's in a larger pot and is in general a healthier plant than this one was - also much more acclimated to my rooms and environment now so I expect the expression will be much more like I remember her on this second round..
I know what you mean...but to say such is also the equivalent of saying all kush looks like bubba - and that is simply what people are familiar with so it makes a valid comparison.
There is no kush here. It's just a freaky pheno. It's chem with heavy indica influences from something in the Northern Lights...
This plant has a few Bubba x Digi Bx1 seeds in her - which you can see one in the pic actually. So it will be VERY interesting to see what she looks like when there is actually some Bubba present.
I think she also looks that way due to being in environmental transition...she was kept in coco / hydro rooms and is now in soil. Gotta remember that phenotype is genome + environment.
Makes me REALLY want a LA Affie x NL cross - to be honest...
I have to be 100% honest and say while the plant I am currently growing and posting as my long lost ChemSis x NL - I'm still not fully convinced - even as much as I want to be. There is a lot that seems different about the plant than I remember it - and that includes the strength of the high and the smell of the flower as they are curing. It's been so long - and the plant was so young when she had to be given up...the smell, the high...is unforgettable - and what I am currently growing, just doesn't seem to have "it"... just seems...off...
Could be me and how I'm growing her...time will tell I suppose. Regardless...this is some strong funky smoke - as I said, could just be how I grew it and environmental adjustments, etc, etc.
I'm a little late to the show... ha ha... or maybe I'm just in time? It looks like you got the frost right!
I transplanted 12 chem sis x nl wednesday, and I have at least another 12 more I'm going to transplant. They've been in 16oz cups of perlite for a couple months now, so they are all sorts of root bound and pissed off. I'll finally be able to give these girls the attention they deserve and grow them proper.
This plant is getting 2 walls in my octagon, and space in another grow yet to be determined.
Did you get back the same clone that I have? There was a sour d x nl that came with it, but I'm certain this is what was labeled the chem sis x nl that I'm growing. The sour d x nl sucked in comparison. No offense.
Bobble, same cut. But - it just seems different than I remember. This is curing much creamier and not nearly as sharp. These flowers look much more "kush" than I remember the plant looking - it's darker colors and the purpling just really seem off to the putrid green stank I remember...my temps weren't THAT low - and the cut didn't show any color outdoors in MI temperatures...but this last plant was that hungry - so it's hard to say.
But see that is also part of the problem - when I ran her is was from seed under a 400w then in an outdoor plot - and then I haven't seen her for about 3 years. So perhaps the plant has just matured as well - I'm not saying anything bad about the plant I'm currently growing - it seems so.......close. So, I'm just giving her a few more rounds to see what I can get her to do...get her more dialed in. It's an environment issue for me - it's not constant.
Round 2 is flower now and it's shaping up a bit differently than her twin in round 1...but not THAT much. And round 3 in veg is looking like trash - hahahahaha (I feel ya bobble) - and will likely need cloned and re-grown and cloned again....sigh.
Bit of an annoying plant...that aspect of it is consistent!!!
Round 2. Still not perfect. Waited too long to transplant in veg - she was getting a touch hungry and it carried over into the first couple weeks of flower before she got new roots and really leveled off. Looking forward to round three and REALLY getting her perfect.
@6 weeks under a 400w... The light was too far away from these plants for a while b/c they didn't stretch for shit compared to the Headband next to them. I've finally got that fixed so they're receiving good light, but this grow is just looking piss poor. I never got these plants back to 100%. Looks frosty though.
I'll be fully honest....I've NEVER had this particular plant shine @ 100% - best I have done is about 80-83% of possible potential. She is VERY finicky...if she gets too dry for even a couple of hours, then she suffers and the flowers show it. ANY kind of stress REALLY impacts the final outcome of the medicine...
There are some plants that are a bit more forgiving...but this cut is CERTAINLY not one of them. If you can even keep her green without a bunch of yellow necrosis, then you've done better than most could do!!! This is truth...
I've had many people sample the last run I had of her and all those people exclaim her greatness. She TRULY does stand above the curve / status quo...
I know, I found her from seed, and my personal opinion is a bit jaded / bias - I really wish I could say otherwise, but I've learned that I favor her, IN PART, because I found her.
However, to say this is the ONLY reason she is acclaimed is FALSE. She has been tried in MANY different gardens...over a course of a few years...I'm not the only one who saw the glory in her.
I can't thank (enough) those who have decided to keep her and grow her for patients or for personal head stash...I truly appreciate those who have made the room and allowed for the time it takes to get her on point...
This plant, TRULY, stands apart - different level kind of herb...I could/DID replace no less than 5 separate plants with her. She is a staple...a bar setter....and IF a plant can compete, then we are talking SERIOUS cannabis.
I have been truly blessed to have been the one who sprouted this seed...and even more so blessed by the ability to have her at my disclosure. To all those who have kept her - I truly hope she has been worthy of your time and effort. I hope you all continue to keep her in reserve...
we got some Chemsis/NL x Grape Romulan/BlueDancer cut goin around, they are ten footers outside right now, nothing but frosty goodness, a lil stretch, but worth it. Inside, easier to control, quickly becoming one of the med patients around most requested strain.
Wake-N-Bake. I need a better camera that can do macros... or it could be that it just doesn't look as good as df's buds. ha ha... Definitely some good smoke.
