CHEM D - Fake or Real?

According to chemdog it is the real d. Maybe you should inform phinest and chemdog himself of your opinion and see what they say. Just because you like other strains more means nothing. I ran the GG4 for many years and it was fantastic probably in my top five. Anyway glad to hear you have strains you like better. I thought folks would be interested to hear that chemdog vouched for the phinest cut. Mine will be down inside of 3 weeks- I have yet to smoke this particular plant- I did not have room to propagate it until this run so it is still new to me and I'm really looking forward to it.
All I can say is run them side by side and decide for yourself... It’s a great plant no matter what.

I think the Phinest chem is a chem d s1 aka sis aka Bundy
If it's an s1 then they apparently nailed it. Bundy. Lol
Okay y'all. I'll be reporting back. Have not posted much this year so wanted to sound off I guess. I have a Lions game to watch.

If you don’t know who Bundy is maybe I should be laughing?
Maybe you should I don't know. I'm familiar with the killer Bundy and Al Bundy and the Bundy strain from cannarado which is an ice cream cake hybrid. Never tried it but sounds like good stuff. I prefer sativa dominant hybrids myself. When I asked uncle Google about Bundy the description sounds very multi-indica polyhybrid.

Reading back over this thread Desert Dan is like 2 years ahead of me. I did a double take when I looked at the date on this. I hope I like the phinest cut as well as he did. Unfortunately I missed the gmo cuts when they were the hottest thing about 5 years ago. Lol. Cutting the chemd Friday so I'll keep you posted. Mine have a fair amount of nanners which is disappointing. I have not been easy on them.

It’s a great plant either way brotha… Remember the experience gained on the journey is more valuable than the destination!

I found the real Chem D threw male flowers no matter what, whereas the Phinest stayed pretty if I treated her like a lady. Hopefully her pollen is sterile…

Luckily you shouldn’t need to drive cross country to get a cut of GMO.

I'm pretty sure this is the exact same bud I took a picture of February 3rd . I'm really picky about nanners because of course they make people nervous but they all seem like dry straw when I pluck them off. I think if it were a problem then this plant would not be so widely distributed throughout California and beyond .
Yeah I was just lucky enough to be out west in June. I flew out and drove a car home so I was able to bring a few cuttings back. Two were the tissue culture things from phinest.
So in all good faith I just can't cut this thing down tomorrow. It'll be 70 days on Saturday and it's having a robust reflowering since I started cutting the lights back just a little bit to help it finish. it is literally getting bigger every day and I know you all have seen that stage. So maybe Sunday Monday. I don't want it to rot so I am eager to cut it down. The weight and bulk are really impressive. Clearly a commercial plant.

Hey there hope everyone is well. My four chemd came down a few days after my last post. They yielded well and it is a solid heavy hitter. Good potency. Scary for my friends who don't smoke that much. Lol definitely going to keep it around.

The GG4 f1 cross I grew had beautiful variegated leaves. I assume from the chem sis? It was a very well fed plant with no real deficiency at all throughout the grow. It didnt matter if it was veg or flower, there always seemed to be at least one variegated leaf growing. GG4 x Redhot cookies

i wish we had a reliable way to do genetic testing of cannabis clones.

no disrespect meant, but there was controversy a few years back about fake cuts being passed around (by chemdog, iirc, according to interviews i've listened to from breeders syndicate and/ or potcast); doesn't that make any claims of the phinest cut being "verified" legit dubious at best? again, i'm not here to throw poo, but the [if] and [then] situation begs for clarity. and if this is verified false, please lmk and i will edit this.

there was also a rumour that (pbud, iirc) someone close to the original chemdog events/ circle recently did a tissue culture of chem d and supposedly it came out without the leaf problems. any verification of this?

if THAT's true, seems to me that the phinest D could simply be a (as was stated earlier in this thread) tissue culture cleaned chemdog D cut.

lastly, is verdant green's work the best seed line out there for the d? maybe besides nspecta's d s1 seeds?

Hmmmm

Nutty and spicy but sweeter than the D. Not as foul smelling.

Magical high to it tho…

Supposed to be the sis but I’m hearing she’s extinct. Deffo can see some structural similarities with gg4 tho. 🤷🏿🤷🏿🤷🏿

Hi, i'm probably not the best placed to answer that question... but in a more general sense, i didn't want to make S1s of the Chem D (like i did with pre98 Bubba Kush) because it has some undesirable genes that i wanted to be able to select against... hence the C4DD F2 and i took that further with C4DDD / Contra D with another bx which has seen the streaky stunted genes segregate into 25% of the offspring and i am in the precess of hopefully removing them from the line atm making F2s.

What good would it do to tell G when he’s clearly passed out more than 1 cut as Chem d ?

Chem D cut

Def not the prettiest of buds , but gosh dang is she funky . The stinkiness is unreal . She's finicky in flower and you will get a few sterile nanners, but that hot steamy dumpster, armpit , rotten funk is down right legendary .

I hit her with a highly regarded sour diesel ibl male. I'm gonna hunt every one of those damn seeds .

One man's Chem-D is another man's D-line is another man's Chocolope. This whole cluster is what happens when people try to claim other people's work as their own. I'm not saying DNA GENETICS stole anything from anyone. I'm merely using this scenario as a reference. NYCD could just as easily be used. How many people have ripped off Soma or DJ and his Blueberry?

Every breeder/pollen chucker/liar !!! Claiming the mythical single seed found in a bag crossed to the only phenotype ever found of secret stash??? It's all bullshit.

People trying to claim their poly hybrid of a poly hybrid is somehow special or rare, no It's not. Stop chasing names, unicorns, so and so's cut that's the real deal,,,,I'm sure it is.

Even if you start with great genetics and it's grown poorly indoors. Nuked and treated with multiple synthetic fertilizers/chemicals so it will get bigger, more terps and finishes faster... the greatest genetics in the world will be garbage within 2 filial generations.

I've spent a small fortune chasing down Road Kill Skunk. If Sam could remake it now he would, it's a million dollar strain.
The gene pool is so polluted we will most likely never see it again. When a hyped breeder has multiple pages on their website of genetics that aren't available anymore? They are a lying, story telling pollen chucker taking your money.

If someone is claiming how much their plants produce but only give you a picture of the best bud against a black background, call bullshit! Whole plant pictures taken at harvest give you more information than a hyped story promising UTOPIA.

In this age of instant information, hold people accountable. Does the name make the weed good to you?

Can you actually tell what is good weed? A great deal on bad weed is still bad weed. I'm done with my rant, peace

I ran phinest chem91 And chem d side by side...

Definitely not the same cultivar.

The nug structure is different, the terp profile is different... The potency was different. I kept the 91.... I seen somebody say somewhere that the 91 ànd the D from phinest were the same plant renamed.... They're not.

Phinest Chem91 Bagseed (I suspect an s1)

Man these chem genetics are potent... This one's pretty complex, upfront in your face chem funk...followed by a cream paired with spicy pickles. Doesn't sound good, but it blends well... Just as potent as her mom...

Im callin her "Stray Dog"....
