So what do you do with the fish after catching them?
Release them?
It would take a long time to eat a 100lb + catfish.
Also they have to be pretty old at that size, I would feel bad if I didn't release them.

a 100lb cat is around 20 yr old . they can put on 8 to 12 lb a year .
all fish go back catfish taste like a dirty ass, part from 2 fillets on there back .
they have a problem with polish and eu people taking the fish to eat . but things are going to change next yr .
Only 20 years old huh? I would have figured they were 50 or more to get that big.

We have the same fish here in the states, and the cats can be pretty tasty fixed right, but the carp are just nasty no matter what IMO, but the Vietnamese love them, they can't get enough.

it was great fun cant wait to do it again was thinking of going in august but it gets too dame hot next to the river so im going to go in september i think then again in december for the carp .
Did you take your own tackle or hire with the trip? both i'd guess? The Ebro ive wanted to fish for a while, looks like a great craic man, proper holiday.
