I didnt create the plans just passing along something very interesting I happen to find from Bonzo's ebb&flow thread. Rather than explaining it ill just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Ebb & Flow Plan

This would be perfect for a perpetual grow. :muahaha:

Edit: Just realised I didnt post in the hydro forum *doh*

Im just glad someone else found this useful.

Just a thought on the perpetual idea. This prolly wouldnt work because the plants would be in different feeding stages but eating from the same rez.

The guy who invented the system used 16oz solo cups as "netpots" and filled them up with hydrotron.

I built this system and am currently on day 44 of flowering using it. I used Quart sized ice cream buckets from Baskin robins and also found the same buckets in the paint dept at Lowe's. They fit perfectly inside 2 liters. I use 3.5 inch rockwool in hydroton. The system has been OK, but I will not be using it again as the roots have grown out of their pots and formed a full rootball under the pots inside the 2 liter bottles. The plants have been stressed b/c of this but there is nothing I can do for now.

This system would work better if you were only vegging the plants for a week or two then immediately flower, as the roots would not have enough time to grow out of the pots. I vegged for 1.5 months and that was way too long for this system to handle.

It was my first hydro grow and was a good learning experience but I am switching to flood tables and 6 inch rockwool cubes from now on.

Edit: I added a couple pics to my gallery so u can see it in action, one is from veg and one is from 10 days of flowering

Thanks so much for sharing your experience(and pix :rasta: ). Ive actually went through a fair bit of the information on Ron's website and ive read something that may be of interest to you.

Have you tried using a paint strainer inside of the 2liter bottles to stop the clogging from the roots??

Interesting post! And it might be the answer to one of my problems.

I need to start ~8 new plants in a small veg closet I'm constructing. After they're 2-3 weeks along, I'm hoping to put the female plants with the other two plants in my main chamber, veg for a few more weeks, fill up a screen, then make my HPS the "flower" area and the other place for veg.

Anyhow, I am using these horrible containers I picked up as net pots and they're FAR too big for this closet to fit 8 in. I can't change the net pots until I finish this grow, so I'd need something I can transplant. With e&f you have smaller rootmass and it'd make transplanting to another place easier, right? I just know if I do DWC I'm going to have to use these huge net pots again so I can transplant them easily, and there's no space.

Anyway, I think the link is quite nifty and I'm going to look into making a version myself here, hopefully.
