The sweet haze was the first strain to get frosty/stanky, and I know that the finished product is THE SHIT. It looks like it will be a small yielder, however. The stems are puny, and the buds just look to be getting frostier, not a whole lot bigger. The DNA website says 9-10 weeks for her.

I haven't smoked the MMG, but I think that it will be a mainstay for a while. The plant drinks 2x's the water of any other plant, is already super dense, and has next to no smell. I am assuming that the high/taste are going very good or better. I can wait 10 weeks, but if she needs more than 10/11 wks, then she can't stay for the next round. The EC Confidentials are very underdeveloped, but it is still early, so I will withhold judgment until harvest. They look very healthy, but the buds just aren't growing/developing as fast as the other plants.

Figured that I'd give you a peek at the seedfarm, as well as some budshots. The OGK x G13 clone was successfully transplanted this evening. The mites came back for a cameo on the s haze and cough, so I sprayed a couple of nights. I will do the right thing when I harvest, and get rid of them for good. Today is 6 weeks in flower, so I took a sample of the s. haze and mmg. The s.haze was left on the surface of a gas stove to dry for about 5 hours. Took 3-4 big, DRY hits in a bowl after work today, and Yeah buddy! I don't consider myself a lightweight, as I usually only turn down smoking when my lungs hurt, but I was zooted for about 90 min. For the first 20-30 min, My heart rate jumped to about 85 bpm, and I felt kind of paranoid. Great power walk with the doggs though. The mmg was quick dried (5 sec in microwave, fan, repeat for bout 45 min), and still burned/tasted like spinach. I got a nice clear buzz from it however, nothing like the sweet haze. I have to assume that the s.haze is further along than the mmg because it was a clone, and started showing flowers about a week earlier than the mmg. Does this matter in a strain's finishing time? Example - A strain is supposed to go 9 weeks. A clone, and a plant that is 30-40 days old go into 12/12 at the same time. Will the clone finish sooner assuming that all other variables are controlled? Oh well, I'll find out in a few wks, I suppose.

P.S. The bubbler thing would have worked for odor control, but now I have to add 2-3x's the cleaner, change the rechargeable AA's daily, spill shit every time, etc... So I ordered a vaportronic ($60 w/ 12 disks and shipping). Folks here seem to swear by em, so I'll give it a shot. Not sealed/vented enough for a scrubber, don't want ozone around the plants/people/dogs. The EC Conf's are starting to funk up quite a bit, but that mmg stays with it's earthy, locker room aroma.

Things look nice, Barletta. There has been some discussion on pinesol being unhealthy. I don't use it. It was just something posted. The vaportronic gets real nice reviews. There is a wealth of info on here. Keep up the good work.

OF - I got the 'Fabuloso' partly because it didn't have any of the inhalation/phenol warnings on the label. On the other hand, the shit does just evaporate, and where does it go???Any way, I am still waiting on the vaportek thing, so I'll only have to deal with the bubbler thing for a while longer. Will come in handy when I am trimming them though.

I finally got these pics uploaded, they are from a few days ago. I also got to try the same strain of sweet haze that has been done outside for 7 wks in a friend's garden. Tasty!!!

One of my dogs grazed away on the twigfarm the other day, leaving only the mean green male (all 4 leaves of it), and the little EC Conf.

I will start the Grand Taste test on Thurs (7wks.), and take samples weekly. I intend to finish the s.cough @ 8.5-9wks, S. haze abt 9 wks, and the mmg/ec conf around 10 wks. I have a nice big MMG Clone to go in next, as well as 2 ec conf clones (depending on the high/taste/yield) of 2 of the 3 I have in flower. I have a nice healthy OG kush x G13 that I really can't wait to flower! I also have access to early durban clones if I need them. Now if I can only get a cut of that cannaloupe haze..........

Yea the Vaportek is awesome....been using one for over a year now....for your grow you might have tried buying a couple powestrips and filling em up with glade plug ins....the vaportek is a huge glade plug with a fan

Got some updates here.......I left the oldest EC Conf out near the window for a few minutes, and the dog got a hold of about 30% of the leaves. I didn't have any bud to smoke, and the S. Haze seems to be shrinking, so I cut the oldest (chewed) EC Conf down at 7 weeks. Probably got about 10 grams of harsh, early, hashy, lemony bud. I traded the last twigfarm plant for a cut of the cannaloupe, and put a fimmed MMG clone into 12/12 (after a 36 hr night). The Cough will be going into 48 hrs darkness on Thurs, and harvested on Sat. She will be replaced with the OG Kush x G-13. The Sweet Haze will go into 48 hrs darkness on Sun Night. I plan to take a big 9 wk sample of MMG, cut the cola at 10 wks, let the rest of the plant go 11 wks, with the last 48 hrs in darkness.

We'll I've been busy in the woods for a while, but here's an update on the indoor action.

Sweet Haze
Went hermie (lots of single, low pollen flowers)during the 10th wk. Could have been mites, or a light leak. Bud tasted like a haze cross, but was less potent than it should have been. Decent yield, between 1/2 and 3/4 of an oz. Smelled very fruity/hazy, and STRONG while flowering.

Strawberry Cough
Nice sticky, sweet, stinky buds at 8 weeks. Was out of bud when I chopped the cough, she probably should have gone another week or so. Very stinky, sweet, loose nugs. High as described by dutch passion. If it didn't smell so bad (good) I would have kept it around.

Martian Mean Green
Oh, the poor Mean Green......she got touched by the sweet haze's hermieness, and the smoke has suffered greatly. 50%+ of the calyxes have some tiny seed formation. Too small to effectively extract, in high enough concentration to make the smoke harsh and oily. Yuk. Anyway, the strain itself rocks. The pheno that I have isn't like any that ive seen, as the smell is woody, earthy, sweaty, and she was ready in less than 10 weeks. Grows with next to no smell, could grow alot with minimal odor control. The high is definetly a mixed indica/sativa, and I think it is more indica dominant. Nice and strong, despite the seedlets. I have 2 more going right now in bigger pots, and with more room. This one will stick around a while.

East Coast Confidential (la conf x ecsd)
Love these buds!!! They are Spicy, coffee, sour filled dankness, rolled in frosty tasties. They are super dense, and hit like a ton of bricks. The people that I have smoked this bud with tend to fall asleep within the hour. The plants were fairly uniform, as I had 3 different plants from seed finish, and 2 more outside that looked and acted pretty much identical. Very indica dominant, short, SUPER slow vegger, can't over feed. Small yeilder, but never had buds that tasted/hit like these before. Only clone that survived was from a plant that got smoked at 6.5 wks, and looked identical during growth to one that was properly finished at 9 weeks. This one will be around forever, no matter how bad (good) it smells in flower.

O.G. Kush x G-13
Flowering this one out now. Cutting from a sweet plant that my dog ate. 4 weeks into flower, and today I noticed her first smell, straight lemon pledge. I have heard that this is a good thing, so I took a cutting, I hope it makes it. These seeds were freebies from DNA in 2006, so I figgure that it is a real og kush cutting hit with the pollen from that g-13 x haze male that they (Dna, and supposedly lotsa Dutch breeders) have. This pheno is super stretch city. She likes to grow 2 or 4 leaves per fan, and did I mention the industrial strength lemon wood varnish thing? I hope that she is done in less than 11 wks........

Right now we have:
2 MMG in flower, (5 wks and 3 wks) 1 nice momma to be.
1 OG Kush x G13 haze in flower (4 wks) 1 hopeful clone momma to be
1 EC Conf. that I vegged for about a month in flower (less than 1 wk) 1 momma to be
1 sad, ph locked out cannalope haze would be momma. I repotted into some light warrior soil a few days ago, and the new growth is ok, but slow growing, and the older leaves are all spotting and slowly dying. Probably over saturated the little plant in straight ocean forest soil. Should recover.
