ill edit later but in short all lamps are affected by gravity..
most mh and cmh are same with burning position..

i still dont get it. i think is have a MH-Lamp, its a Phillips HPI-T Plus. But its light is on the blue side, not much red in there.
so is there a difference between CMH and MH?

That's the difference between them. MH is a blue bulb with little to no red. CMH is a bluer bulb than MH that also has more red than HPS. One bulb, one ballast, no switching.

Hello Simba,

I am still vegging some clones under your CMH and it goes really really well. However I was thinking about complementing the 400 CMH with a 150 HPS under the same reflector ( AAW ) when I switch to flower in order to get a bit more of production.

What do you think about it ??

Thanks very much.

jav,,
honestly i hate to comment prematurely (been debating and trying dif things)
i have someone doing a few tests.with these in the lineup..
.(to get actuall result data..)
http://www.nam.lighting.philips.com/us/ecatalog/hid/pdf/p-2055.pdf
and basic HPS..
to see which is better. they both have goods and bad points..
if you really want to supplement without waste..(in test to sucks time doesnt fly.. or time machine not avail to us.. )
adv tech has Pure Phos T5 from Sylvania.. $$$ but worth it for the pure color outputed..

I will try to make my 400 cmh and one hps 150 fit in one reflector ( AAW Medium ) I am not very sure if it will ...but let´s have a try.

I thought that somebody would have tried to do that before me !!!!

I will post some pic if I manage to fit both . As I have another 400 CMH I can see diferences between 400 +150 and just 400 cmh.

Olé !!!

Nice plants man !!!

here is what I want to do :

I want to supplement my 400 CMh with a 150 Hps and I have two different bulb options .

and here is my " start " ...but still much to improve ...

what would be the benefits to a 150w HPS + 70w CMH in my flowering chamber opposed to 1 250w HPS or 1 250w CMH?

^^
That hood is way too cool man. I'm trying to figure something out like that. But I'm using a 150w HPS and a 70w CMH. the HPS is a mogul and the cmh is a medium pulse socket. Any suggestions? They're just kinda dangling and I'm paranoid that one might swing and hit a cab wall.

For some, the combination of the best of CMH and the best of HPS, as a supplement, offers an enhanced spectrum.

Are you going vertical? I would think that doing so would be an ideal use of dual setups like CMH and HPS bulbs.

Namaste, mess
