I have noticed that there are always a good portion of Christians on any forum but you rarely see any of them starting "I hate God-less people, they all......" threads yet no forum is complete without the redundant "I hate Christians, they all...." threads.

P.S. I'm not a Christian by Christian standards, but ironically I find myself often playing devils advocate for them because I time and again hear stereotype as the basis for "factual Atheists".

Let me explain the sub category I find myself in within atheism. I guess you could call it soft atheism, or lazy atheism. I merely do not believe in God, don't know why, but I just find it all too inconvinient. For me science does provide a better answer to the creation of the universe, but its still a lame answer, as is God.

You could probably pin this down to the fact that I find it impossible to contemplate existence, so I prefer to revell in it blindly.

I'm not trying to bash anyone, just point out that no one is immune to faith even Atheists.

Really, this could have gone in the "How do you feel about church" thread.

Just to be clear, if anyone started a "All Godless people ....." thread I'd chime in just the same.

I understand mostly what you are saying Pyrex...when you say noone is immune to faith, do you mean by saturation? I guess you could argue all new born babies are atheist by definition unless you think religion is some form of base instinct structured in our minds at an early age?

If you are religious then you would have faith in your Higher Power, if you are without a Higher Power then you have faith that it will not be your demise. Scientists have proven neither that God exists nor a lack of his presence; furthermore science admits there are many phenomenon which defy explanation at this point in technology/understanding. Humans are not able to control their destiny or what we would call "Life", as long as this is so, we will always rely on faith regardless of religion. I don't think humans will ever prove or disprove God. The very nature of God dictates that he has the ability to remain intangible. Faith and blindness are not the same thing, more like Cactus and Succulents; all blindness is based in faith but not all faith is blind. All religion is based on faith but not all faith is based on religion.

now when you say americans, you should say Registered to Vote Americans.

Mostly Older, in certain groups . you are genrealising all americans as they are one , and they are not. it would be akin or the same as me saying all Muslims are terorists and they are NOT.

What Country any where else has a atheist for a leader ?

wich one ? name it.

I am so sick of this fuckin shit. grouping stereo typing bullshit.
