Catching another grower in my area.

I had one of my plots moved in on once. I know for a fact that the growers didnt know i was even in the area but i had grown there for over 10 year and i knew they were in the area. The morons came in and planted 15 plants in one spot, which around here means your going to loose them to the law and maybe go to jail.

Anyway, they were endangering me and my grow. I went to ace hardware, bought a NO TRespassing sign, went to the sight, tore up the plants and hammered my sign right in the middle. When they returned, they assumed the land owner had discovered the grow and hit the trail. I havent had any problems since.

This guy is a claim jumper man. Get out!

Good Luck Merrywanna. I turned 60 last week and i still grow outside. I planted my first seeds in the spring 1971. I have had a crop outside nearly every year since. In all of those times i have only let two different people share a grow. These were men i was raised with and shared many a good times together. People i trusted. Both ripped our smoke. It has been 25 years since i had a grow partner and i know i won't have another . Take your loss. Get a new grow by yourself. Good luck with your grow.

Last year was my first grow (25 year break) and I really wished that I had a partner to help. I set up 8 spots all on my own. I went with my gut and took a big gamble on this guy, If he had been a young punk I would have acted different and pretended I was the land owner and told him to grow else where. While setting up our 3 spots earlier this week we talked allot and he has the same problem as me, finding someone to pitch in and work. In a few weeks we are gonna be setting up 1 or 2 spots dedicated to males only.
As to him ripping me well I know his name and license plate number and he grows indoor so he has a constant supply so in theory he shouldn't have too. That and we direct sowed over 300 AF seeds in our 3 spots.
I thought that this story needed to be told cause it was so weird and that I found a much needed grow buddy out of it.
BTW I live in Scandinavia, way out in the country. The average person here doesn't even realize that it can be grown outside ( I hope, hehe). No helicopters or DEA or local cops searching for it. If your crop is found it's cause it's in the wrong spot or gets stumbled upon by a berry or mushroom picker.

To me it's like leaving a stack of cash in the middle of the woods. Who are you going to trust won't take it when you aren't looking? No one. Having his license plate # does what? What are you going to do with that? To him? Nothing. I hope it works out well for you and you beat the odds but it isn't in your favor in my opinion.

Nice one.
Be wise and make safety paramount while trying to make the more of your partnership.
Well done for being upfront, i like that.
Respect!

When I first starting reading this I thought it was going to end pretty badly. Couldn't have been a better ending! I wonder if you'll meet the third person?

Take this advise! Lotta good points in this thread, from the tree marker so what other "genius" figured that out to kids in the fall sniffing the air then ripping, what would you do then? Ans: not go back! But mainly, the rule #1 is "tell no one", not "tell no one...except..." Don't partner up unless you expect to get burned.

There is just too many people in the USA. It is very hard to find a place in the woods that will go the required time without being discovered.

I know many people pull it off, for most of us we have people or all sorts, hunters, farmers and the helicopters.

Good luck to everyone that tries

nice story...but for me personally, if you meet someone in the woods who knows your growing, you ask for ID.....this way if anything happens down the line you know where to look

I found a "Dear Fellow Grower" note at one of my sites - with a couple of plants they've put into their own little enclosure beside mine.

It's annoying.
The trail in through the vegetation is now obvious because it's not just me going in there.
I expect them to nick at least some of my crop there.

But I have no choice really, apart from abandoning the site to them

So I'm just going to play it as carefully as possible and try to avoid even seeing them.

So last week I am out walking the dog and I notice someone has cut a small tree as a marker. The next day I am out for a watering run and there is a car parked near one of my spots, I stop and look in the backseat and there is a cardboard box on its side with some duct tape keeping the flaps closed.
Well I know what this person is up to so I decide to run to the top of the hill to see if I can see where he is. No luck, so I decide to wait for him. About 20 minutes later here comes this 30's something guy (I'm pushing 50) out of the woods with a backpack on his back. I say "hello how's it going and what not and are you growing cannabis in woods". He says "what, whats that?". We go back and forth like this for little while and this guy is freaking out. He even asked if I was a cop. Then cause I am positive this guy is a grower I take the plunge and tell him I grow and have multiple spots around here and that I am not stupid and know what he is up to. Well he finally admits he was planting and we have a good chat and I asked him about the marker and he says no He didn't do it. So now we got a third party in "our" area. I know that one of my plants did have about 30-40 seeds last year but it could have hermied for all I know.
So now this guy and I have become growing partners and set up 3 new direct seeded AF spots far away from "our" other area.

um

not sure I would just trust a random guy who works in your area

he may get greedy and cut a week early and dip or some other shit

there is a reason most people work alone or with folks they consider family and trust with their lives

just saying

best of luck and happy gardening

ya, maybe you didnt understand correctly, im not the police asking....ill get the correct info.....:bashhead:

you put all your eggs in a basket that a random is holding

you have more trust than me

and I'm pretty sure you are the one that didn't understand. It is easy to make you believe anything it seems, you meet a new guy who is lying to you from the get go and then he is all of a sudden your business partner.

I'll go ask everyone I know that grows what they would have done in your situation and report back.

OK, I didn't even have to ask

The exact opposite, they would have given up on that busy spot and gotten a new one ASAP

no agaiun, it is you who dont get it...i guess ill have to spell it out...sorry mods if this is breaking rules....

to me its simple...i aint doing jail time, i cant deal with snitches, theres too many....so if im in the woods and i come across someone while im doing my shit...either he gives me the good info, or he's ******* ********...not too many ppl would lie given that choice...to me it has nothing to do with the weed...more to do with jail...

besides most ppl have a car near by, or they live near by.....its not like they are hard to find...

it would seem to me that you are blind to the subject, or just tread in dirty water and not know....
