don't really wanna do a seed run right now... still hunting for some solid keepers... I need to sort through seeds not make more to sort haha
but if it is a he, he looks very nice, i may have to do some selective pollination in a round or two... I may just take some clones of him to keep around til I'm ready and they won't take up much space at all...
ld420, thanks man, someone did a great job breeding them
tonyg, summertime and the living is easy!
jm420, lets hope they stink a lot and get HUUUGE pop them CJxSB's dawg, cant go wrong with it
sours, hopefully its a lady i'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!
quick question for you guys that have experience with CJxSB IX1 growing indoor... how would you guys say the yield is compared to other strains? poor, average, above average, or high?
thanks guys, this season so far been awesome, i've learned a lot and been able to keep them girls happy, a few more months of this and everything will be worth it!
i feel very blessed and thankful to be able to work with such great genetics! thanks once again ld420! ur the man homie!
I definitely think it's a male! I did the "put clone in cup of water and under 12/12 trick" and it is 99.9% looking like a boy! Lol
I think I'll keep some clones of him to play around with when I wanna do some more pollen chucking... He looks like a nice male to play around with. Good structure and everything... I'll post some pics of him on monday to get everyone's opinion if I should breed with him in the future...
Hey BW ,I had only one female first run but I would say yeild was averagemaybe a bit better.I guess alot is gonna be growing stlye etc.I figure avarge with my style is 2 oz per plant.I think I hit around 3.5 with the cjxsb .The cjf3 did way above average but the cjxsb beat the cj out in taste smell hands down.I think the buds are denser as well.
hopefully I'll find another sour pheno this run
Hey SS if thats a sour smelling male definately keep him around,I had one male that stunk out the veg room real bad, stinkiest male i ever had
buddah, while I haven't brought them to completion inside, I'd agree with jm... Average to above average for the cj/sb ix1, but with greater potency and density due to the SB influence... f3s will be the huge yielders. bx1s should be comparable to the cj/sb in terms of yield I would think, maybe a bit above average...
I will remedy that first sentence though shortly
Sour, you can always collect pollen and freeze it for when you need it. I've used 6th month old pollen with success. My thoughts were no need to fuck with my plant count keeping around males when I can collect their jizz and use it as needed... There's a thread by chimera somewhere around here entitled 'freezing pollen' which lays it all out there. Either way, that's why there's 14+ in the packs of cj/sb
popped 4 last nite dont have much room anymore but aCJ of some sort deserves a space .
I disagree on the potency ld,definately a diffrent high .The F3is Day time up beat smoke , able to function all day, with no real ceiling just a clean feel good high .Definately not before bed though less you wanna be up thinking all nite.
The cjxsb is more for those days you dont want to get motivated, like a rainy day like today.great for watching a movie and definately to impress freinds.
thats just my experiance with the 2 so far
the cj f3 is definately a top shelf cash cropper though no ifs ands or buts
LOU, I like your idea about freezing the pollen but that requires a place to flower it out and a place to freeze the pollen... neither of which do I really have lol...
i usually will just throw the male in the cab with the females to do their thing when I am trying to pollinate something... but I have learned things can get a little crazy like that...
I don't need THAT many seeds... just some...
First I need to figure out what to hit with the CJxSB tho....
Ya don't need much for males... A single 23w CFL bulb.... A wardrobe box... And you have yourself a rumpus room...
No ventilation fans necessary with such little light. No fans, means the pollen can simply fall to the floor and you can collect as needed from the male flowers for freezing or application. I've ran this rumpus room within 5 feet of my flowering pod with no issues or cross pollination... Just gotta be careful when watering, collecting pollen, or tossing the boys...
Normally I leave my males in indirect light in my flower room for two weeks or so before they drop. Then into the rumpus room for two weeks to collect pollen. Then the axe...
Males want to get freaky, and you don't need to supply them with much to get them to drop enough pollen for a personal seed stash and backup man jizz.... If you build it, he will splooge...
I just bend the shit out the male I want to keep...stuff him in a cardboard box...1 x 20w cfl...collect pollen daily. Light leaks, stress etc is all good in my books. The sturdier the male the better he copes with these shitty conditions!
