bone- thanks alot for your help and suggestions. i know she needs to be repotted but i have a problem. i am going to flower soon which means that i have to put this mother in my rubbermaid veg tub. i think that i might throw her in the tub in the same sized pot for now.....then in about a week or so i will take the clones and repot the mom. then like you said..start bending the branches and such...try some LST on her... should make for a monster.
just means i gotta start flowering here really soon.
gotta make sure she doesnt get too big too soon...she will out grow my little rubbermaid quick. way sooner than the flowering plants will be done.
i will probably move her into a 2gal growbag after this little pot..might be a 1/2 gal.

about the root cutting...i was unsure about it and just did what i read in the thread about reveggin. also, this cascadia was a MOSTER.. the biggest of all 3 and i had to move her to a new pot.
since you dont cut the roots do you just leave it in the same size pot the whole time??? upgrade it? im really curious.. thanks
she will be a beast come next round.

u can start the shaping of the plant from the moment yuo know what you want to do with it.
my biggest tip is to repot the mom first - that will give it a boost u cant get back later

usually i reveg in same pot untill it has started growing . then i transplant it to a bigger one so the roots can get fresh starts for nice branching. then i really go for their clones to keep to them as moms. the revegs in big pots yild a lot if u give them grow time. have fun!
the clones also take less space and in 2 months theyr huge if ya need.
the kalimistxastrboy is going to get the same fate, as the other moms. i like to keep the genetics .

so im thinking i will move her into a 1 gal grow bag for now...just to give the roots some more space...then after another month or so i will move her up again...then hopefully to flower...

cool - lets see how it goes in an other few weeks
use those enzymes from atami or similar to make old roots into nutricion
and rhizotonic or trichoderma to keep roots healthy if it doesnt boost the growth remeber revegs usually can handle almost full on vegs directly they get going. im having mine on max.
anyway : moms can be kept quite bonsai state as long as its healthy

pato - ok i will do it since i got the pics pretty much explaining it
the best thing its so cheap....
i start of with white square plastic bottles that my distilled water comes in. they are 5 liter bottles.
when they are emtpy i cut one of the narrrow long sides with a big U shaped slit that will work as a lid. make it as big as u can. be carefull not cutting ur self.
make sure it works well as a lid. dont cut it off. it will later suport the light (atleast if its winter). in summer ud have to lift the lights a way a bit from the containers.
the light i use is 1 x 18W fluorotube of 50 cm long but 2 work a bit better - not more or it its too much.
after putting the clones inside in their rockwool plugs - i make sure there is allways about 1 milimeter minimum of water without any nutes in the botom. dont put more than that either really - jst keep the sides, top and floor with asteady layer of waterdrops. first week is crucial to keep humidity high. the u can start slacking a little bit - but allways make sure there is that layer of waterin the botom. the high humidity in the inside makes the roots start growing out every where.
we dont even use homones normally. i seriuously think perfect conditions is more important and a strain with a lot of rooting power.
the ssh x ptk has rooted once in 4 days. without anything else than the airtemp (summer) the spraying for humidity, and 2 fluoros of 18 won top.
i just spray the inside of the bottle as often as possible in the first week - since the flurolight is directlyleaning on top of the container and heating it up lightly. the reflector is just a piece of aluminium foil.
i keep the cloner in a warm place - on top of my reveg cabinet for my moms. i make sure there is not light coming from underneath.
thats about it i think - anything else?

hehe , yeah a nice idea for DIY , i went with a GeneralHydroponics AeroCloner with 72 sites ... , to bad that GH got such a poor advertising/service , so i had to buy a gymnastic mat and cut the round pieces for holding the clones in their holes .....

well heres my cascadia reveg after i put it into a 1 gal grow bag. also in the pic is a bagseed i have grown before that moved into a 2 gal grow bag.

wow raco - i tried the White Congo afew hours ago and now the mothers finest. also wrote the drafts took fotos of them all - made a smal macro studio hehe because there was no sunlight to talk about. awesome quality. as i said before the most hydro like hard and potent as hell. but more later - it wil be a few posts long in a few days
FJ - cloning devices:
the rockwool is most likelly the most suited medium for cloning - u can keep it soaking wet and it will have enough air. very cheap (100x for 10euro) and not too much work.
i have built many different cloning devices - i was lucky enough to learn a lot. i have made two aero cloners also - even made a tutorial on it on OG. gosh i did a few others too there.. i miss that place so much - and so much stuff lost.
all the air pumps i hade running at that time (5 all in all, for the different rez etc) made so much noise the neighbours complained hehe so it had to go.
after that i just went for simplicity - mini coco pots in tupperware containers. but here again there was some problems with too much humidity . mostly the fact i was working and did not have time to take care of the misting was part of the problem. its a crucial part in the method we use.
the new way is so easy,ugly and effective we laugh about it its a true ghetto cloner hehe
but recycling the bottles works so well there just isnt any need to change for the moment. a clone doesnt need to root quicker than 4 days for us.
my coop partner VEND wanted to get one of the big rainforest cloners - but untill we really need it its not going to be necesary at all. but propablywewill get one later also
on top out 400 euro rebuild of the growrom is kind of setting the budget
anyway FJ - doesnt those sphong tube covers come in many different diameters?
