Most of the Caribbean countries are islands in the Caribbean Sea, with only a few in inland lakes.
The largest islands include Cuba, Hispaniola, Jamaica and Puerto Rico.
Have recently had some Haitian friends come to the USA and exploring some similar genetics (less touristy areas)
Welcome sharing strain information encouraged.

Some of the smaller islands are referred to as a rock or reef.

For anyone interested in sailing the ASA offers a 101 sailing course very affordable
I really enjoy sailing for over 30 years, and there are many places to explore ⛵ godspeed my friends :huggg:

Are you an instructor or a student?
I'm a basic student I know the rules have a boat license and can tie knots and sail a single mast sail boat.

I took intro to sailing and 101 here's the description from the website.

ASA 101, Keelboat Sailing 1
Able to skipper a sloop-rigged keelboat of approximately 20 to 27 feet in length by day in light to moderate winds (up to 15 knots) and sea conditions. Knowledge of basic sailing terminology, parts and functions, helm commands, basic sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship and safety including basic navigation rules to avoid collisions and hazards. Auxiliary power operation is not required

This is the style im certified on.

Took this class at my local college.
It was very enjoyable, fun and relaxing it included hands on ⛵️ sailing !!!

I have access to one like this just need to take the class.Would be great for bumming and snorkeling on the reefs.

Just a hobby growing up on the bay!
I wanted to take the catamaran class before I get too old and retire, then that would fulfill my sailing education dreams.

Not too hard of a task just time and money
Luckily at this stage in the game, I have a little more of both.

For anyone interested jump right in and get sailing it was very easy to get into and thru the college, affordable as well much cheaper as a group in classes than ASA.

Best >>> :huggg:

In this picture of the Jamaican strain they are growing the leaves look doubly serrated
Some areas are very rocky and the plots may not hold water very well so growers find interesting ways to conserve moisture between daily watering
Also of note is the photo periods on the equator 11-13 hours of daylight longest days are in June and July
The yellowing off of the leaves is apparent as these plant are reaching maturity
