just think about the movement of air when you run your fan, its pretty much just one line for them all

I do not have an "in-line scrubber," mine just pulls the air through the little openings in the filter

I would think light->scrubber->fan->exhaust, but that will not work

Any clarification? Sorry a little new to ventilation.

The filter has to be at one end or the other not in the middle. You might be better having the filter at the end so carbon from your filter isnt getting all over your light

Carbon is more effective when air is pulled through, not pushed.
Keep that in mind also. What kind of carbon filter is it?

CAN 33 12" x 13 6" - 270 CFM

From alternative garden

I was reading someone elses post on their setup, and they have two fans, one for the scrubber and one for the light.

Is this necessary? I can't think of another way to do it.

THanx in advance

scrubber--->light---->Fan---->exhaust.

air flow is in direction of arrows.

thanx for the clarification, I better make sure that the glass is on damn tight to ensure proper airflow, I'm guessing

Also, with the fan far away from the scrubber, does this decrease its effectiveness?

Lots of love to all that help---

It will make the fan work a bit harder, but with a 6incher you shouldn't have a problem...
Edit: Make sure you have good ducting, with no holes or leaks in it, otherwise your scrubber won't be doing much, since the air is being sucked through holes in the ducting, making stinky air...

and, since there will be a vaccum in the light, the glass will slip letting air in. Duct tape 1/4 inch around to seal the glass in. and as noted above, be sure all connections are air tight. no leaks...no stinky air...everything has to go thru the filter. Done.

make sure thats metal duct tape tho-the cloth stuffs a fire hazard and will melt off. also works light--->scrubber---->fan----> the fan pulls to exhaust ,for long runs add inline fan to air draw before lights
