Carboload and Sweet?

For the price of sweet or carboload you can get 5x as much blackstrap molassas. I used to use carboload and switched over to molassas. I'll never go back.

I think the Carboload is just an equivalent to molasses, I have a bottle and it's a clear white syrup, obviously sugars in solution. It says on the bottle 'with trasfectants' whatever they are. Molasses is much cheaper as a sugar source and we know unsulphured blackstrap molasses works superb, so I don't see much point in using Carboload when we know molasses works and is sheaper. Just my 2c.

I got a bottle of Plantation Organic Blackstrap Molasses (Unsulphured) from Whole Foods. A little pricey, but works for me. 15oz or so for $5-ish.

I think blackstrap molasses might be difficult to find outside of "specialty" or "health-food" (i.e., Whole Foods) stores. I have seen Grandma's and Brer Rabbit brands at regular grocery stores, but not blackstrap. I was not able to locate a bottle of blackstrap at Trader Joe's, but then again I didn't find any molasses (which I'm sure they carry) at all during a quick search -- so it's possible they have it.

You can definitely find them online, as well.

Well I think (but in reality have no real clue) CarboLoad has more than just carbs, although it is the primary ingredient. 3LB wrote about CarboLoad and other products, in fact, in that molasses thread posted by guineapig.

For me it's really about which product is better overall, since CarboLoad isn't really all that much more expensive than my bottle of organic blackstrap molasses. A liter of this blackstrap runs me roughly $10; a liter of CarboLoad runs me roughly $15. (I'm aware other major brands of molasses can be had for much cheaper.)

Interesting so just for the nice looking bottle and the name they overcharge u on a product that u can get much cheaper.........Im not suprised it all business and we are the ones that get suckered into buying overpriced stuff......Well atleast the other stuff is worthy of a purchase.....bigbud and overdrive will go in my babies regardless of price.... yes im a sucker......

I can get 5 gallons of feed-grade molasses for a few dollars...

Also, I just finished running overdrive and molasses vs just mollasses in ph'd water the last week of flowering in the last 6 crops. No huge difference in overall yields. The smells and tastes were actually a little better in the ones without overdrive.

I have not tested big bud yet.

Even in urban areas you should be able to go to a place like Tractor Supply Company and find feed grade in gallon jugs for about $5. Hunting places carry it as well. Hunters like to lure in their prey with candy just like pedophiles.
