Rainbow Bridge

"The Rainbow Bridge"

It is said that just this side of heaven is a place called the Rainbow Bridge.

When a pet dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes there. Lush meadows and hills abound so our special friends can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

Pets who've been ill or old are restored to health and vigor; Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and vibrant again, just as we remember them in our dreams. The animals are happy and content, except for one thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes intent; his eager body quivering. Suddenly he leaves the group, flying over the green grass, his strong legs carrying him faster and faster.

You've been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling to each other in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head while you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

This is an old work, but I just had to post it. It helped me....with hope. I hope it helps others too.

I am glad you are starting to feel better. Just remember, you're pet aint hurting anymore. She was in pain with her back breaking and now the pain is gone. She is in a better place and was able to bring you many great years of compaionship.
I wish you the best my friend

Here's another pick of her.

She's beautiful in that pic. I lost a couple pets to car tragedies like this one. It's so hard to see your buddy suffering, but better to know they aren't anymore...nice post keefhead. That's why God put Cannabis on the planet, to help us be at peace during times like this...it will get easier even though it's so hard.

Kiki, the male cat, is still looking for her. He loved smelling her butt. LOL
Here are some more pics I found of her.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. It's extremely hard to lose a pet, they give such companionship, love and comfort to us, actually become part of the family in so many ways, but alas, it is an inevitable part of life (living and dying) that we must all face, sure doesn't make feeling the loss any less though.

Sending good vibes your way!

I'm saddened to hear about your cats misfortune. I too have lost (or should I say I am mourning as they never really leave us) a friend feline recently (late June) due to age and inoperable tumors. May the healing begin.

ThisBuds4u, I'm so sorry for your loss of Aerale!

We (Annita and I) have just got done mourning Sparky who died of old age, at 18+ years old. I found him the day he was born abandoned by his wild mother in a cold February morn, 1978. I had a paint shop on a work farm and fed him milk from a baby bottle and tuna from the kitchen. My sister brought him home until I got out. So I know how you feel.

I love you all with my heart!
