i got some very light colored golden looking seeded tops from the acapulco area around 1970 when i lived in frisco. it was pretty trippy for weed. long lasting, stoney as hell. or maybe it was just my young, impressionable, mind.

now i'm thinking about seeds poppin in the hookah in the back of my vw van. fillmore posters glued all over the interior. cheap wine and naked hippie girls.

Digs, me a little reminiscing from time to time... Good shit ,bro...

I missed the free love,spirit part of the 70's..

Though I missed the boat by a few years my aunts were total dead head straight free love,thinkers and tokers to an extreme..

They gotz me smoken at around 11 years old...
(explains a lot,No?)lol

Every once in a blue ya would get a 3 finger bag that would just knock the shit out of you...
Great head trips fo sho...

Then it just became weed for the longest time and always though I just got used to it...

Then in the late 80's early 90's... Smoken on Mexican brick weed full time $35-$50 a zip...Just packed with seed...

That head trip came back... Same damn high as 8-10 years earlier..
Even the thoughts were the same...lol Wheee...

I soooo wish I had a clue back in the day and known what I was smoken on...

I did manage to save a few hundred Mexican brick weed seed from the early 90's
(I've tossed full zip lock bag,full of seed away)
Yet have no idea if that strains in there someplace..
Or
If any would pop if I tried...

Those seeds look nothing like today's seeds...
There HUGE thick monster looking thangs...

I've yet to try and pop any... But... One day I so would love
to do a little Acapulco Gold hunting in that bag....

Day 35

There are only 35 days left in my season 2...
What a year...
I've Vac sealed 12 oz for long term storage and have a good 10 to smoke on till this round is cured, so I would say im set for a good year of smoken...

Ready to take me a break and chill for the summer...

Going to play with the bonsai mom idea as a stall on veg for next season...

For now I'll keep GSC and Border Haze clones...

Started the picking and will over the next 10 days or so,
I will pick
them of most fans...

What a pain... lol

Worth the effort though....
I also raise and lower the bulbs about a foot ever few days...

2 days of picking and pool 1 is back to auto pilot...

I took out the bamboo sticks holding
Kong back and for the most
the ladies stayed... Nice...

Loven the GSC due to the lack of fans forming..
What a great strain to work with and if she yields
some good weight, I could see her becoming my
main strain for growing...


Kong is BY FAR the heaviest monster in the pools...
Just a crazy good strain and great smoke ta boot... Nice....

Now I needs ta start working on pool 2...

This should take a lot less time to pick.
But I will spread it out a little over this week
so as not to stall pool 2 ..

I took mass leaf from pool 1 over,
just 2 days.
Hoping to stall them a little..

Life is a funny box of chocolate... (Real original,Eh.)

I have managed to throw off the timing needed
for fully, seed filled buds
as the window of opportunity is quickly closing
and my male has just started to form anything
close to a nanner...

Being that I halved him
only 2 days before I tossed
him into flowering,

(Hindsight)
I'm not surprised he has stalled
and
I didn't think of the stall factor when I did it..

I really should have trained him a lot
better and kept him a lot shorter for the flip..

Got lazy at the wrong time.

The GA3 ladies look a little odd
and
I'm still not sure
what they are up to as
I halved them after flipping...


The thing is....
I know these things will happen by
reading they will over and over and yet
I find myself wanting to see for myself
so I kind a tend to ignore myself and go with it...

This and...

Life being a BOC
and all
I have found the last couple
pieces hard to swallow...


My GF being a recovering Alcoholic
decided to go on a bender that I
didn't stop in time...

Lost her job and no longer can help
with bills and rent soooo....

( I took her to the ER and called her boss
placing blame on a medical condition)

She is sober once again
and
there is a slight chance that she will
regain her job and we can move forward..

Things are about to get really tight around here and
even though my electricity cost
are only $200 a month at most
ever penny will count starting this month...

So
I'm glad there are only 30 days
give or take 5,
left in this season..


But I'm torn as to which would benefit me most.
(the most bang for my buck)
From this wave...

Do I continue with the seed making...
Pros.
Once proven and tested it could prove a good way
to help recoup cost of growing.

As I really don't desire ta deal with
moving large or even small amounts of bud.

( I have no connections ) lol...

Cons...

I ain't going to make a living off seeds...
Or even pay rent.. lol

Not to mention what it cost me
out of pocket to go with seeds.
Shipping cost and packaging
and
the time to collect and clean, bla,bla,bla...

Seeds mean less smoke into storage...


Ok
so just go with growing bud... Right... Well...

Pros...

By the looks of it...
If not seeded and left to do as they like.
I could see something like
1 - 2 LBS coming of these pools...

Cons

(These are mixed pounds-
No pound of a single strain)

I have almost years
worth of smoke already.
I don't really need so much more...

Being that I will have a large
season coming up next winter,
one way of the other...

There would be no
Alien Dawg House Seeds
Without Seeds...

Though I have stock of BH and SL
Ive sent out most of the
CK and GATF seed as testers.

My main goal with ADHS
is to get these strains grown by different
people and make my season 5
a lot easier as I will know already
what it is I have to work with
without having to grow them myself.
Saving me a good 2 years and
the cost to grow them...


Im torn...


Not knowing whats in the next
damn piece of life chocolate is
killing me ATM...

Will the rent get paid will I need a second job...lol

I can take care of myself...
Not really worried about the basic needs.
Work a little harder and make a little more.

I just really like my free time
and so should be up north.

That might be another option im playing with.
My profession allows me to up and move to just about any
place I like and find work so,
I could if desired sell off everything
here and move up to nor cal
and start off again in the right place.
Not trying to make a living off weed
but having a job and making my lines
in a place where I could let others
grow em and see 1st hand what they hold.

Guess you could call in Networking...
Then there is the ability to go green house
and outdoor cutting cost
and the community
all make this a very appealing option to me.


Leans me even more towards staying the course and
Making the beans as I write this....

Ever notice how if ya cant come up with a solution
it helps ta see it in a 3rd persons perspective....

So how about these Pools..

I mean come on... These things are gravy....
How is it no one has caught onto Kiddie pools for hydro.

Super cheap...
So much so that you can toss and go new each grow if ya wanted.

I can imagine a few different ways to run these besides as a PPK.

With a pool over a pool you could go soil.
Bottom pool having PVC drains
to catch the run off from the top pool which
would be sitting on a pvc frame say 2"-4" above the bottom pool.

How crazy is my minds eye....

2 pools at a 25-30 degree angle facing each other
with a Styrofoam cap on each.

Cut small holes in the cap every few inches
in 3 rows across each pool.

3 pulse/feed point at the top of each pool and a drain
at each bottom and bam...

Coliseum Kiddie Pools....

Think 4 pools in a square facing each other at a 30 degree angle
with a 1000 w over a 600 w stack in the center.

12 plants say 12" when flipped per pool...

Pulse feed at the top letting the water flow
through the length and draining out the bottom.

SCROG PPK Kiddie pools.

Could go with the classic 3.5 gallon bottom
buckets with a PVC frame under each pool
rather than the totes.

One bucket per tail piece making
8 bucket spaced evenly around under the pool.

Perhaps the control/pulse tote under
the center of the pool.
(Open space if using bucket)
Or the PVC table frame for support...

I could go on with possible builds..
But... Wont...lol, For now...

Looking at the difference between the trunks
on the ladies still in the pots and the ladies
that I put directly into the medium.

You cant help be notice the difference in thickness...

I am blown away be the growth of these ladies
given these are all different strains touching each other
I was expecting less cooperation between them and
less growth...

Longer node separation and such..

But damn... Just the opposite...

Everything is well formed and tight...

The roots spread like crazy
and even when torn out of
the smart pots.
These ladies showed no real signs
of slowing down once placed into the pools...

Had I known this.
I would have placed all ladies straight into the pools.


Now I don't know why
these pools are working so well
for me but...
They are...

Its hard to see the frost forming
from most of my pictures
yet
I can tell you these ladies are going
to be and are doing noticeably better than
the same plants did in my 1st, 2 waves.
Using Smart pots and Air Pots.
With more space between
plants to grow in the 1st waves.

From what im seeing in other shows this year...
(Great shows may they be)

People are having a hard time
copying D9's master piece
and are running into bumps
that I'm not sure I could over come.

And...

Using a lot more effort ta get there...

I guess what im saying is ...

Some one with a clue needs to look into and do a grow
in a kiddie pool with straight washed/screened Turface
on a PPK with Full Flood pulsing
and jacks and one tree in the center.

If 2 lbs is good for you with 1 plant.
Then... Stay the course...


But being in a med State and only allowed 6 plants per
215...

I see no reason why say KONG
with the right VEG time and Training
In this set up would not pull a good 3 -5 LBS

On par with outdoor growth...

Why would I think this..

There are You tube Videos showing 10 LB trees and
talking how they achieved such wonders.

As I watch these grows and see how they go about it
I see no reason the same couldn't be done indoors
with pools giving you the space (Depth x width)
For roots to grow a taller heavier tree..

The Hydroponic action giving you the quicker growth.

The controlled environment giving
the plant a safe place to get ta 100%...

Am I missing something here...

Kiddie pool full of TF, Flood Pulsed, fed Jacks,
one Kong in the center of the pool trained
for a tree.

Rows of pools with 1000's Vert in between.

Each pool giving 3-5 or more pounds per pull....

I have to be missing something here....

My minds eye says if a strain can do 10 pounds outdoor
This set up could get ya at least half that 3 times as fast...

Could someone point out what im missing here...

Take the 12'x11' space for example...

4 pools
1 Kong per.

6 x 600s or 1000s Vert

Seems 1 lb per light is the bench mark I hear
people talk about.

Seems to me even if ya only pulled 2 lbs per pool
your ahead of the game with less plant count as a bonus.

Then again...

I am pretty well medicated for stress...

I mean, 8 holes for 8 wicks with
4 totes or 8 buckets.
PVC table frame.
A control/pulse tote and a bulb....
Some Jacks and a couple timers..
Choices of mediums seem to be vast...
Any combo of or just a single medium...

Turface with a touch of coco sounds like
a winner ta me....

Bam... Frosty nugs...

Be it with a 400w or 600w or 1000w
LED,VERT,Horizonal grow
1 plant Tree
or
30 plants SCROG

Once ya have the set up ready

You can toss what ever
in it ya want
and
mix it up the next wave if ya
ADHD like myself...

If I can do this with as little
actual effort
given to the pools.
(man hours spent working on the grow)

Anyone could do this...

I don't really have to do much beyond
mix some jacks every 2 days
and train and pick leaf.

Chop,hang,cure,trim,smoke,
replace ladies and start all over again....

I chose to make life hard and do way more than
needed in order to learn and see things I want to
see.

This being the last of my learning curve seasons.

I'm going to miss the low stress having fun
and even if it all dies
I'm OK cause, I learned something grows...

From here on..
I have to put into practice what
I've learned these last 2 seasons
and in order to move forward
I need these next couple seasons to
work out and give me what I want/need...

Pressure.... Boooo....

But I have a dream....


Wishing I had time to call for a
KIDDIE POOL CHALLENGE...

I would love ta see what people with
more options and space could do with these pools.

I'd call HP a total thinker weed with a low THC level.

4th, its pool season here, and I have a new house, new room, new start. Just punched holes for 10/3 wire and I see a trip across the street for pools in my future this weekend.

She has a great soul and a kind heart that has been taken advantage of her whole life and has very little love of self.
Making it impossible for her to love others. Including me.

Yet she is sober and though we
find today that she has lost her job for sure.
She is in a frame of mind that I've been
hoping to see for the past year or more.

A true rock bottom,
I believe she has reached and if true...
All will turn for the better very soon.

This time I hope she finds her pride
and see her self worth
as I see it...
she will be partner worth
everything we have seen together
over the past 4 years.

for 10 days
Prior to being flipped. ..


These would be around day 27 ...

Due to beyond crazy stretch.
I halved them about 10 days ago. ..
