It always feels good to see the results of your hard work. I know exactly how you feel. I'm in the process of rescuing a grow, i'm almost there and when it's ready I will put up some pics.

Yeah all these new(to me) experiences can get a little scary. ..
Start 2nd guessing every move ya make. ..lol

Then ya do it and it turns out , OK. ..
That's a good feeling - for sure. ..

Interested ta see ya rescue ..

Be waiting with popcorn, nice and hot. .

Going to need some down time to reflect and retain some learned lessons and stream line my grow style. .

The goal has been to find a system , I can stick with and this season seems to have given me what I was looking for. ..

Air pots and kiddie pools. ..

What more could I need or want. .. yahoo. ..

So on with the beans and have to wait for the SC & GSC run for that ..

Man I needs more lights and more space. . Lol... More $ more strains more more more....:whee:

I haven't played a video game in a year.. What the hell happened to me. ..lol

Call of duty and ROME are great ways take stone away a day. ..

I hear ya on the video games. I don't play many, but I do enjoy World of Tanks, and my play time has been seriously curtailed...

I feel ya alien dawg. Right now I don't have much time for anything besides my girls and icmag. The rescue job is at I spot that I used to rock. I left because of personal differences. Then four months down the road I get asked to come back because shit is in shambles. The pm at this place was out of control. The mother room was overgrown, and full of pm. When I left there were like 30 mothers. When I came back there were about 15 mothers of which only four were getting cuts taken from them. There was also major over watering going on with the mothers.
The flower room was even worse. There's a 4x8 flood table and a 2x6 table. Both tables were horrible. Plants just thrown into flower. No trimming them up first. Small plants were right next to tall ones and getting no light. There was literally a 2' tall plant then 2 or 3 , 4 inch plants right next to it. Wasting space big time. The pm was so bad it took me a week to clean the plants and get rid of the pm with eagle 20. I had to sparay the fuckers like three times. I'm pretty sure that I have the pm gone now. Besides spraying, I put a filter on the fresh air intake that cools the lights. So i'm pretty sure now the pm will stay at bay. That didn't stop me from spraying each new batch I put in the tables with eagle 20. The glass lenses that are on the hoods were completely filthy, so I cleaned them to look like brand new. It is a really nice set-up. It just needs to be maintained and things need to be done on time when they are needed. I mean there were holes in the ventilation pipe that let all the hot air from the ac right back into the room. And he was wondering why the flower room was getting so hot with the ac jammin'. I got it fixed now. Hasn't been above 84 yet!!!!
Last time I was at this spot I had the 4x8 table in three sections. The last crop I managed there, 19 ozs. came from just a third of the table. It was the shitty end too, the far end away from the other table and lights. So basically I pulled 19 oz.s from 1/2 of 1000 watts. He told me the next batches numbers but I have forgotton. I do remember though that with the numbers I was told, I hit the 1 gpw mark. So now I know I can do it, it's only gonna get better. I'm working at getting 2lbs. a Harvey from the big table and at least a lb. a Harvey from the small table. It would work out to be about 3 pounds a month with harvests every two weeks. I will only get half of that. Which is fine, because all I have to do is what I do best and take care of the grow. All the money aspects, and supplies have been negotiated to be bought on command when I need them, at no cost to me. I get to have complete control over what strains I run as long as I always run some LSD and Pineapple Chunk ( both barneys farm, and are my partners fav's.) Soryy to ramble on dawg, you just got me excited when you were interested in what I had going on.

Always likes me a good story. . Sounds like you walked into my 1st seasons grow..
Switching PM for mites.. I was all over the place and let things get out of control.
Talls with smalls and heat up the arss..
Didn't have a grow bud to call. .

Sounds like ya went in and saved the day. .
Lots of work yet if your like me.
There's nothing like a good challenge ta get ya motivated and successfully
kicking ass has to be a pay off in its self.. (bragging rights) lol
Nutten wrong with that. .

Eagle20 is the shit.. Awesome stuff..
I brought in PM with a clone in the beginning of wave 1—this season
Spread like a mofo and since I was in late flower.
I used a Milk/Ph+ mix and had to spray every 2-3 days. .
Pain in the arss but effective.
Once I hit the new clones with Eagle 20 PM was gone for good...

So now you have a understanding with the Dude and ya gets 1/2 the pull for working on the things ya loves.. no out of pocket expense for u .. that's awesome .

Work ya magic brother and collect the rewards ..

Thanks for sharing .. Good way to start the day .
Now. .. Where my pipe. ...

Morning Bonzo. . Puff, puff, pass. .

Hadn't thought of that. ..

Having already read a few side by side hps/mh grows and looked at the results.
Hps wins every time.. so I'll be using hps on both sides. .
If I had another rig.
I would add the mh for a mixed spectrum .. Seems the way to go. .

~~Hps/Mh~~ stacked.. Now that's going to get some nice nugs. .

I am going to stack 600's for the next run and I could see doing the combo on 1 pool and straight hps on the other...

I am going to toss the LED over the center(between pools) and grow into this space with some crazy training I have in mind(for fun) just to see if I can.. lol

Ill add this light in about a week. .

Hi, Alien Dawg.

Thanks.

Some illustrations of several different soilless media mixes that we examined during experiments with SRBGB`s.

We have tried large troughs, also. The illustrations primarily depict 20 gallon SRBGB`s. They held approximately four (4) specimen each. We did not employ pumps or active recirculation though; we proceeded using the Drain-To-No-Waste [Method] that we describe in our subforum, watering only once per 24hr period. Note the approximate 45 degree angle of the bamboo stakes extending towards and outside of the outer walls of the 20 gallon SRBGB at post #4 (Soilless Gardening).

Kind regards,
/SRGB/

Having had my hands full. I haven't had a chance to take a look at your work, though y'all are on my list of threads to look at..

I just took a a few minutes and checked a few of your thread's out. .

Too me...
That's what it's all about. .. Knowledge and new frontiers .. Moving forward rather than sticking with the known. ..

Your business model is exceptional ...

The way y'all present your work and the projects you choose to take on show a vision and path that leads to bigger and better things to come for all of us...
:tiphat:

The soilless media work your doing is excellent and your timing is perfect(for me)
As I have been bouncing idea's of mixes in my head for a good month now.
Having read so many PPK grower talking about what will work best in our set ups as of late. .(including your input) Speaking of which- I recall a offer to work together with another grower on a experiment and it laid a seed(idea) that just popped ..lol

Y'all where talking about the tail piece /wick on PPKs. (I dont recall the details at the moment) But the idea, I have for you is. ... Drum roll. ...

Wait for it. ...

I've done Smart pots with a tail piece on a ppk and see a lot of potential ...
(Understanding your pots are not the same type pots as Smart pots and serve a different function )

Being you let the roots grow through the bag if the right conditions exists.
With Smart Pot ppks I believe the tail piece to be inadequate ..(as is)
Different types of pots needing to be treated a little different ..IMO

If you were to take one of your pots and placed it on a rack,
say 1/8" over water till roots started to show.

Let said roots grow the width of the bottom then raised the rack till say 2-3"..

Added a empty (tail piece) with a screen- 2" smaller than the width of your pot and 3"-4" long.

~~Place your pot in a PVC pipe with a screen on the bottom.
2" smaller than the width(snug fit)~~

Then place your pot on a PPK lower bucket with pulse feeding and keep the PWT 1/8" from the tips of the roots(lower the water level a inch every 2 or 3 days) till the bottom of your pot is at the correct PWT and your
(Contained Root wick) is 1/8"— 1/16" above the water.

In my minds eye....

I see the roots doing there job of transportation much better without a medium getting in the way.

The screen will keep the roots out of the water and the pot keeps them in the dark.
Wave or flood pulsing gives you the hydro-growth and would keep the roots moist alone. .

Being just above the water would allow(if pumps fail) no pulse. ..
The roots to suck up water vapor being so close to water yet not drown and rot by being in water...

Thought you would only have a few day till the water level dropped to much and roots would dry out..

I can't imagine the roots wanting/needing to fill the whole wick space very dence/tight as plants are not stupid and they usually build what's needed..
( I could be wrong.)(lol)
So I'm thinking a root only filled wick would never stop draining/get clogged...
( Please see the above (~) )
Move needed nutrition back and fourth more effectively
And ...

Look cool. ..:)

Man Lambsbread really is a thinker smoke.. lol

Just a idea bouncing in my head for to long. ..
Feels good to get it out. . Do with it what ya will. . Lol

The work your doing with bamboo is great as well. ..

I have a large Bosnia and bamboo garden and hate trying to Bosnia bamboo due to the root growth ...

If I took your pot and cut it to 2" tall and placed it in a container.

I bet I could get my 6-8" tall bamboo field. ..lol

Having to re pot the tall bamboo is a pain as well. .

I never thought of these pots outside. ..lol...

Anyways. . Thanks for all the work y'all do and sharing the knowledge gained will pay ya back a thousand fold...

Note the approximate 45 degree angle of the bamboo stakes extending towards and outside of the outer walls of the 20 gallon SRBGB at post #4 (Soilless Gardening).*

Works great for me. .. . I Took the idea from some outdoor grows I've read.
Did it prove easy and effective for you?

----- :ying::alien: -----

EDIT...
y'all don't have a couple 42" x 16" pots by any chance ? Would enjoy watching y'all do a pool party. ..lol..
Dream big.... Trim LBS....
THAT. .. Would be a Pool party on EPIC level. . IMHO...

OK brain fart here....

What about a roll of Air Pot used inside the pools to raise the bed depth 12-14" and create a pruned root zone. ..

Talking about 4-6 plants/trees per heavy plastic ppk pool..

A big arss fabric pot sitting in a pool is the other brain fart y'all smell..
