"Gardaí have urged anyone using cannabis in the Co Louth area to contact a medic after two young women were admitted to hospital.
The pair – in their 20s – are said to be seriously ill in the intensive care unit of Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda after using suspected contaminated cannabis.
A senior Garda source said: “There is a serious public health concern for this community.”

"In two separate incidents, a young woman was taken to hospital after becoming ill on Monday night, while the other was admitted yesterday morning.
It is believed they both had used cannabis in recent days and are suffering symptoms not usually associated with the drug."
