God I hope it doesn't go through. When REC went through here in Colorado I was against the tax. It is 15% excise on the grower, 10% state sales tax, and what ever tax the city throws on (usually 2-3%). Medical I can still afford as the tax is 2.8% and is written into the state constitution so I hope the state politicians can't mess with it. The politicians are really wanting the tax money. The REC caters to the ski tourists who don't give a damn about the cost. The politicians just raised the amount of REC a tourist is allowed to buy (more tax money you think?). The answer is grow your own, but I like going to the dispensary for different tastes.
