I have a sony mavica CD and I have no idea what Macro is either but, get this, there is a little icon of a flower on my cam and if you push the button and get really close with the camera, it takes hella good pictures, very clear. For all I know that what Macro could be...that button with the flower. :confused:

Hey Capt! -- :wave:

I have a Sony Cyber-Shot 3.3, DSC-S75... Probably very similar to yours.

Do you have your camera's operating instructions? Per the manual, in Macro Mode {w/ the li'l flower icon on}, you can record a subject as close as about 4 cm {1 5/8"} from the lens surface with the zoom set all the way to the W side, or about 20 cm {8"} with the zoom all the way to the T side.

Couple that with a couple of tips from here:
* Zoom all the way out {T side} before entering Macro Mode
* Use a tripod if possible to steady the camera...
* Possibly try using a mangnifying glass in front of the lens {I've not tried this one yet, personally...}

Hope that helps!
