well they can do light dep green houses cooled using solar power?
not sure they need to even grow there.

in the end it seems you could do better things with so much money. also doing this so openly might get the irs interested in where the money came from.

i don't think they need worry about the IRS
it seems they are a $23M company already.

the isolation, the barren desert, the heat, the proximity to Vegas, all negatives.
the only positive they have is cannabis...
of course if DEA and IRS don't obstruct them they can grow plenty of it.
it can't go across state lines so the customers will have to come to them (from NV, or if they get an airstrip, anywhere).
:dunno:
imo pot tourism for that tiny berg is like lipstick on a pig.

If they're smart, they'll establish a cannabis growing 'boot camp' for teaching 'beginner', 'intermediate' and 'advanced' weed growing techniques. They could have a second boot camp for teaching 'extraction methods', and yet another for 'legal mumbo-jumbo', and still another for 'cooking/baking'. They could morph that whole town into a cannabis 'learning community' with a bunch of indoor recreational fun too.

Seems like a smart move... the town will be worth 10x what they paid for it in just a few years... assuming Jeff Sessions doesn't get his way.

Yes, Jeffry. Seems that he is having a hard time finding any ammunition in the legal weed state feedback that the DOJ demanded on the impact of legal weed on crime in those states. But there are also the court cases citing RICO laws pending in Colorado and Oregon.

It is risky... but they once told Bugsy Segal that Las Vegas was a tiny little dump of a town that no one would go to gamble in the middle of the desert and absolutely nowhere near anything. He was killed for oversubscribing the shares in the casinos, but even over subscribed, they made their money back 10 fold.

Well, there is enough solar energy available there to power a GH and A/C and whatever else they want for an indoor grow option. Just look at the MASSIVE scale indoor grows in buildings going up in Colorado and Canada. But it is not needed. Dunno why people think that weed cannot be grown outside in the heat in the desert. There are HUGE outdoor grow ops in Baja and the Sonora desert in northern Mexico. Never mind Morocco and Lebanon. My GH has been in the 100s here all week. MJ plants simply LOVE THE HEAT. I-15 is 10 miles away. A 10 mile detour for tourists, and only 10 miles from the main artery to LA/San Diego and the ripe markets in SoCal.

This has some interesting possibilities regarding pot politics.:joint:

I'm thinking back to the 1980's in Antelope Oregon when Indian Guru Bhagwan Rajneesh and his followers bought land and formed a large commune
with enough members to dominate the political landscape in the area.

They were quite successful 'til it all fell apart when things got truely crazy.:tiphat:

They should get Trump to put his name on it. Then it would be a smash hit. Of course then they would have to kick back a couple of hundred million.

I don't understand. If cannabis LOVES HEAT so much then why are we told to keep our indoor temps below 85F??

they like heat outside and depending on the system can deal with more heat then people think inside too. but not all strains produce nice buds with decent weight with too much heat. specially for a ideal trichome production you need some cool nights at least. so for me it's mainly about trichomes and fox tails. my summer run always has less trich coverage then my normal harvests from the rest of the year. but yes, if they find the right strains, they can do well even in the desert, as long as you give them enough food and drink, some good medium, desert gets cold at night too.

I would guess for several reasons. One is that 86F is about the ideal temp for all around plant growth, and likely a good average for all strains. Another is plant stretch above that temp and managing size. Also stretch becomes an issue with light sourced from bulbs. With sunlight, the entire plant gets the same light intensity, top to bottom. Indoors, the light falls off at the square of the distance from the bulbs, so the more they stretch, the more variable the light. Some also say that terpenes waft off with higher heat. But that has not been my experience. My plants reek in this heat, but they keep reeking right through harvest.

Look at Jorge Cervantes' videos of some monsters growing in the valleys of Southern Oregon outdoors in the heat. They get into the 100s there this time of year a lot. No problem with growing good weed there outdoors. I had no problem growing good weed in Gilroy, CA. It was in the 100s there all the time in summer. They grew too huge though. 12 feet and taller if not pruned, I had to prune them several times to manage the size. Then the problem was keeping them from getting ripped off.

So, that desert resort or whatever they create might do very well for growing.

I haven't had good luck in high temperatures but this is probably due to my lack of experience. I'm probably confusing my poor results growing at high ambient temperature vs root temperature.

RE heat tolerance: Doesn't this depend on the strains grown? All of my seeds are hybrids.

I have grown a lot of strains here in my GH which is often in the low 100s. No issues with any because of the heat. Hybrids and sativas and indicas. White Rhino, Super Silver Haze, Colombian Gold, Afghan and Lebanese hash plants, Grape Ape, Lemon OG, Blue Dream & Black Widow to name a few. They all love the heat in my experience. If not pruned or potted to keep them smaller, they will grow too big for the GH though.

Need to keep them watered well in the high heat. And acclimate them. They respire and 'sweat' to shed heat. My brother measured temps of his plants last week here in the searing 100+ heat with an infra red heat gun. 105 outside, leaf temps were around 80.

Shit, I should have bought a million shares of ERBB last week. It doubled from $0.0017 to $0.0035 today. Maybe all this talk is scaring up investors?

American green are the ones developing the card checking automated tax collecting vending machine. Sounds like West World meets Biodome.

Its a scam though. America Green has been robbing Peter to pay Paul. Been collecting money for years and done nothing with it. None of their dispensaries are running. No products. Just a lot of stocks!

Anything based out of Phoenix metro is a scam.. Its in their blood to scam, half the work-from-home scams, fake telemarketers conning the elderly, all takes place in Phoenix/tempe offices. Dont trust any company from Az! More shells and frauds than Nigeria!
