Hi!
Just wanted to share some news that has been brewing in Switzerland --- as everything here it's a slow process - as summed up by one of our famous politician during the covid pandemic : "Nous souhaitons agir aussi vite que possible, mais aussi lentement que nécessaire" (We wish to act as quickly as possible, but also as slowly as necessary).
(Jun 3 2020 - https://www.thelocal.ch/20200603/switzerland-green-lights-recreational-marijuana-trial-program ) :
"Switzerland’s National Council has approved a plan to start cannabis trials for recreational use. If it is to be legalised however, the government says it must be organic and grown locally."
some interesting key points:
- pilot program for 5 years - limited in number of participants
- only in certain cantons
- each participant will be limited to 10g. of THC per month ** (at a maximum strength of 20% THC)
It seems like the requirements and testing needed will cause make this process even slower... but maybe I'm wrong, it seems like there are high levels of testing in US recreational markets...
