I should have mentioned I don't use Canna products in veg except the Rhizo. I have no idea how they work in veg and don't want to know. Nothing will beat the cheap Maxigro powder and some additives like MBFerts Vitamin & Hormone Booster. Don't use the V&H booster in bloom, unless you want some crazy ass stretch. As far as Rhizotonic it's GREAT, but not in your feed. It's the best foliar on the market. Once every 3 days at 7.5ml/gal. It's not expensive at all if used this way and works better than dumped in the feed.

Yeah didn't work for me sadly

Checking runoff once a week I wouldn't call anal but rather reassurance that everything's going smooth. I'm picky yes but i like to see my ladies perfect I guess I'm competitive lol either way your right I've seen the results both ways and they both work well just seen runoff results in person vs on these forums. Minimal waste of nutes when dialed in by the way.

What's up people. I'm pretty sure I'm switching from GH to Canna in a few weeks but I'm not sure about a few things.

Do you think switching over will distress any plants? They are all vegging.

I'll probably have to run the 2 part only for now as money is tight but if I can afford an add I was thinking bioroot, some kelp? Seaweed, extra fulvic, possible silica. Out of these what addition would be the strongest with canna?

My tap water comes out around 0.65ec. Will that be an issue with the canna stuff? I'm not having a problem so far other than some annoying guess work.

I've been reading up and based on what I know it seems like I should go for it. Finding this thread is great because it's new and you guys know your stuff.

I've been running Canna Coco A/B for a few years now, it doesn't have enough Nitrogen for veg (they seem to think its enough for both veg AND bloom) so I just use Humboldt Nutrients Verde (16-1-2) to darken them up before the flower cycle. It also has Magnesium, Iron and Zinc, which are commonly deficient. Canna Start is completely useless, basically watered down A/B in one bottle.

I've never checked the pH of runoff and often don't drain to waste. I flush once before the 10 day P-K period and once before harvest. Reuse coco 4-5 times (Canna brand holds the 'perfect' air/water ratio) with a good dose of enzyme between uses.

I keep my feed simple:

Coca A/B
MBferts.com Vitamin Hormone Booster (replaces Rhizotonic and Boost for WAYYYY cheaper)
Big Time Enzyme
Agsil 16H potasium Silicate
Advanced Nurtrients pH- (1ml/gal at my old house, 1ml/10 gal at my new site)

I rarely check pH. I used to when i was getting the formula down but once you learn to get it close you should be fine. Organic chemistry is not an exact-ratio science.
