Boost contains different sugars and might contain triacontanol, of which was nothing said when I discussed it with a canna chemist. Bio Boost is designed differently and therefor cheaper.
Canna's PK 13/14 has a guaranteed analysis of 10% P2O5 and 11% K2O. If you input the guaranteed analysis and specific gravity of PK 13/14 into the Cannastats calculator, the resultant elemental phosphorous and elemental potassium ratios this yields are the optimum 1:2 ratio. This has been covered widely in other threads here on ICMag. European PK 13/14 products are identical in phosphorous and potassium elemental values to so-called 9/18 products.
no one knows and no one ever will most likely.
we can guess all we want, maybe even get 99% of it right, but for sure, we will never know.
obviously, by there pricing, as canna doesn't make many products.. them knowing what goes into it, dictated the pricing. they know what they were after making it, and seems they feel confident by the reflection of pricing. Let's all be honest, canna is not AN with 30 additives, they focus on a couple products and you are assured a good product when you buy something from them..
that's not to say other things are shit.. hell I'm sure some people could outgrow canna with a $10 bag of ferts from home depot, and media from home depot too.. but canna is a trust worthy company if you buy them or not..
I'll tell you there watered down compared to H&G. but talking to my "guru", and discussing things, swans are bad energy.. canna, better energy.. ( take it for what you want.. I tested my "guru" with like 12 products I've used and had laying around.. knew everything about it looking at the bottle... it was actually kinda mindblowing ) ok, bringing the "guru" to the hydro store next time to show them the boost
just found this
http://www.mbferts.com/Hormone-Vitamin-Booster-Canna-Boost-Rhizotonic-Alternative-116.htm
they claim the secret ingredients of boost are :
Indole-3-butyric acid, Bap-6(6-Benzylaminopurine), Triacontanol, Some B-Vitamins
make sense anyone? these are new to me!
thanks retro very enlightening. any one know of the cheapeast source of Triacontanol in the UK? im gona have a go at making my own up. 2grms of powder on ebay is £8.00 not sure if thats good value or not
Yes, Ebay is your best bet.
Note: Triacontanol is not soluble in water.
This is how you put it into solution for drenching or foliar spray:

Sorry if repost. You need polysorbate 20.
There is also a video on U-Tube:
