What's in CBG MIX AT THE MOMMENT ?
when i found it at different s online shop seeds are always differents.

Another classic one is Durban Poison, they are ALL crossed with skunks by dutch breeders, the pure thin leaved (i mean insanely thin leaved), low density bud version (previously available through african seeds co.), cannot be found any more, they are supposed to have a speedy, long lasting, no ceiling high... I hope to experience it sometime

Sorry to bring up an old post, but isn't this https://www.seedboutique.com/store/...ncy=USD&manufacturers_id=111&products_id=1905 a pure DP? I have smoked what I was told was DP once and it was the best smoke I ever had, so I highly recommend it. I have heard that seedboutique hasn't updated their site in ages tho, so I dunno if it's still available.

I've read a bunch of threads in this sub-forum and I'd like to thank you, Dubi, and all of Ace Seeds for your work and customer support. I can't wait to try some of your product, OE in particular.

You won't believe me, but these strains still exist. Why only few private owners keep them is imho due to two simple reasons:

a) Those strains are usually very hard to grow, long to flower, some are full of hermas, produce few. I have for example seeds of pure sativa thais, no indica in it. But no pure males as well, 40% are hermies, 18+ weeks of flowering, skinny buds. Who will grow them? The massive smoker that need 5 spliffs per day and will only harvest 100 spliffs with a 600W? The weed seller that is growing for profit? Fact is that for these reasons, they have become in danger, because few people have the patience to grow them with respect and with the correct numbers to keep diversity in the line.

b) For one breeder like ACE or CBG or Tiki, that select the best parents in their own landrace lines and still preserve and make new seeds, how many will just catch the special pheno or pick the stable landrace, make their cross and not produce new fresh seeds of the pure line? It is difficult for a breeder that spent one year or more to preserve a line, to see it knocked off and used by another breeder without their approval, don't you think so? So the parental stock is not available for the wide community.

Hence there are still people that are preserving old school lines, trying to find the original from the old days, but they are hidden from places like IC Mag and the seed business in general because they were ripped off in the past.

Just find them and show them your good vibes!

Very interesting comments John Public, i agree with you.

Very few growers have the patience or environment to grow correctly the old unfashionable long flowering sativas, but the old sativa lines are a true legacy that should be preserved. That's why we are breeding hybrids for modern standards using this kind of genetics, so people can enjoy the old (new for most people) landrace genetics indoors and in moderate latitudes.

As you said, there are old growers still preserving and growing this kind of lines, our highest respect for them.

About your b) comment, you are totally right. It's very hard for a passionate breeder to select, 'clean', reproduce and document publicaly a landrace line, share the info and intermediate seeds, and then see how the greedy people use all this info and seeds for his own ego and pocket, without respect for breeder that originally did the work.

This has been a constant disappointment for us in the past years and that's why we have decided lately to reduce the sell of landrace strains to the public and only document and share seeds of new landraces in the final breeding step.

We released 20 different MIx with the time. Including pure, f1 and hybrids, thats reason you will always find different contains

Am not sure yet of present one or if still releasing it, times are different, people are different and market is different now
