cancer from inhaling bic lighter fumes

I've thought about that. Thats why I don't use the tip of the flame, I use the side of the flame so the fumes aren't inhaled and go up into the air. Hope this makes sense.

if its lit you are just inhaling some co2, h2o, and maybe some co and other trace things in the butane, most likely no worse than the air outside in a city
now if its not lit i can see how there would be a problem there...but why are you trying to lit your cherry without sparking your lighter? damn you must be high then
and if you are inhaling while that lighter ir near the bowl or w/e you are going to be inhaling a lot from that general area where the flame is so no matter what you are inhaling the "fumes"

Then again I only use lighters about once every 2 months. If your worried about lighter fumes then VAPE!

Remember, you'll only need to touch the cannabis momentarily w/ side of flame for it to catch. After you have an ember, set down your lite.

If you are one of those people that feel the need to roast it with each hit and sort of swirl the flame around, I would probably learn some pipe etiquette.

Mr. Freeman - I do the same..I leave about half an inch of space between the flame and the green...I still notice a taste difference to be honest...I like using the magnifying glass too, it savors the taste.

Sheriff Bart - would butane residue particles be small enough to be trapped by water? ..I don't do this but I see people suck the flame in the bowl all the way until it's cherried and cleared...to me that completly kills the taste and pleasure of smoking..

Wildfire - 80 years with luck

thcbound - vapes are cool but since the cat broke the last one :badday:

r.i.p

Jack D Ripper - love joints...smoked a blunt last night while watching a meteor shower...but paper and blunt wraps no doubt would promote cancer.. :(

LieAbidinCitzen - kudos

:joint: if the sun is out...blaze a bowl with the sun for me..gloomy here :badday:

Cancer from inhaling huge amounts of smoke vs cancer from inhaling the tiniest amount of unburned butane?

If I was the worrying type, I know which one I'd be worrying about!

i'm more worried about the fumes from the cars people drive than i am about damn bic lighter.

and honestly after all the shit ive put my body through if i die from cancer caused by a bic lighter i will be greatly disappointed.

I dont use Bics so it dosent matter anyway. It sounds like a conspiracy between the drug companies and the Bic corporation! I wouldnt be suprised.

How could you say that with confidance???? Do you know this as FACT??? HOw do you know they don't cut it with propane?? How do you know they don't alter the gas with other chemical agents? If it's so clean, why is it that nasty orange color a smell??? VECTOR butane is the shit. NO smell, and the best part......no taste. yes use it for awhile and you'll see how a BIC tastes like shit.

I'm a huge fan of a clean burning torch lighter. I prefer tiger brand lighters they work great for 2 monthes of so depending on how you smoke and can be purchased onilne for under 10-. I believe Lighters could only be bad for my health and use the best to protect my future smoking. I'd hate to make it to 60 then get cancer from my bud smoke. Grow organic and live clean, good luck.

Hey Trancermind: Ever consider the carcinogens that you inhale from the cannabis burning??

Wow man, you use glass? Never heard of that before. How do you do that? Where can I get one of those glass lighter things.

Its just a propane torch about 20 dollars from any hardware store. A tank of propane last about a month and they cost around $3
The glass is a little bit harder to find. if you know someone who blows glass just ask them for a piece. You can get a crappy roor poker, it works but its small

And when you put the glass to the bowl dont press it into the chronic lightly hover it over medicine, Clean tasty strong hits But BE CAREFUL its an open flame
