Can you be immune to the effects of marijuana edibles?

My friend recently ate some questionable eatables form a local dispensary . She said she didn't feel that it were "real". she had ate what was suppose to be 150 mg ( 100 mg of gummy bears and 50 mg of a caramel square ). She reported she didn't feel the effects at all. She then tried to make some coconut oil ( 500ml ) with 70 grams of leaf trim in a slow cooker for 5 hrs and then strained the grass and put the oil in to a gummy bear mold and ate 12 of them and didn't fell anything . she gave a few to her friends that took them home and said that the gummy bears gave them the desired effect.

She is staring to get frustrated thinking she might be making them wrong and her friends are just being polite as they them self's are not everyday cannabis users .

Is it possible that eatables are just never going to work for her ? Is there another way to process cannabis so she may be able to consume eatables that will work for her?

Just wondering if your Friend was a Stoner before she began eating? Has she EVER been stoned?

But yeah, thinking back on some stories I 've been told, some people seem not to notice they're stoned. Like one guy's doctor knew the guy was not quite right but the guy was certain he didn't show a single symptoms.

It's a weird world, Man ...

It’s possible some could be non-responders: faulty enzymes for delta-11 conversion?

I’ve had plenty of experiments with edibles, my own and others home-made, and some from the store; I have rather felt pleasant or nothing. I certainly haven’t gotten anything like a buzz from any edible at any dose (I was told seriously by a friend with a grasp of my tolerances not to eat more than half a sucker without waiting at least 2 hours; on a follow up occasion, I ate three of the same suckers within a half-hour, and received no observable or experiential effects.

What I HAVE had happen is for edibles to “raise the floor” for smoking and vaping...which is to say I may not feel the edible directly, but I *do* get higher faster and stay longer from toking if I have edibles in my system.

I’m not a scientist, but I think it’s a legitimate avenue of inquiry.

70 Gram trim? And 500 ml oil?

Trim is no weed. I would expect me to eat about 5 - 10 gram of trim to get stoned. This would mean I must eat/drink 500g / 7 = 71,42 gram of oil (10 gram trim) or 500g / 14 = 35,71 gram of oil (5 gram trim)

And she ate 12 gummy bear molds? How much was this?

And heating your stuff directly in the oil is a risk, because it is very easy to heat it too much, so that the THC is vaporizing or gets destroyed. Better you cook it with fat and water and cool down later.

And a dispensary can tell you anything. I don't believe someone can be immun to THC. She should try my Bhang:

im not sure i wasnt involved in the making of the candies all i know is she told me everyone else felt it and she didnt

Maybe she just has a higher THC tolerance? It is a question of dosage. Maybe lecithin will help her. It helps to transport fat through cell walls. It makes the effect stronger and for sure there will be any point for her at which she gets stoned.
