where i live , everyone only smokes joints and always mixed with tobacco. Almost no one smokes pure , or bongs or vape. Most people who know how to roll , roll with the paper inside-out , so you can cut the remaining paper after one round and so you only smoke a single round of paper. The glue is on the inside of the paper so you have to cover it and lick it on the top so the moisture gets to the glue. You fold and rip off the excessive paper witch comes of easily at the point you licked. Makes a much healthier and tastier joint witch burns perfectly , but it needs practice to learn how to do it. Dont hit me about the tobacco , thats how we learned to do it and thats how we enjoy it.

Yes.. that is a yes. Many years of rolling American Spirit tobacco trained me well. With that being said, been tobacco free for 4+yrs. Smoke weed everyday.

Do it on your way in to work for a few weeks, then give me a call. We blazed a NL joint like that 3 days a week, years ago and opened the window as we went passed a state trooper to un hot box it about 80 mph while some poor bastard was getting a ticket. Then hit the job site.

Don't cut and roll this mother, tamp it and pack it up. Unpack a dutch master with tweezers and repack it with 1/4 oz. of medium-finely ground herbs, tamp it down and blaze it up with 12 of your friends and see who passes out next halloween. i remember the drinkers were upstairs and as that flaming red glow burned down, you could see the devil. It's fun to watch the chicks tap out half way through it and then tough guy it to see who taps out.

In fact, I'm pretty blazed right now.

On the tobacco and weed thing, I used to do that, and if does make the joint burn more evenly. Now I have given up ciggies I don't use tobacco.

But you must always have a filter; there is no excuse for not having one; trying to suck some smoke through a squashed slobbered on joint end is no fun, and you burn your lips as you get near the end.

And talking of not using the whole paper, to cut down on inhaling burnt paper, well I have met a lot of people who use two papers, not end to end to make the joint longer, but on top of each other, so the joint ends up wrapped in about 6 or more layers of paper.
I don't know why they do this.

My way is roll it about the thickness of a cigarette, using one paper, then insert a cigarette filter in the end and then wrap half a paper tightly around the filter to hold it in place.

No, you shouldn't use a cigarette filter, they filter out a lot of what gets you high. If you want to avoid the slobber issue and the burnt lip issue you can always use a roach clip. Personally I prefer smoke stones like the ones pictured below. They seem a bit classier. Plus when/if you smoke in public, there is a look people have when hitting roaches on a roach clip that most people can easily recognize. Hitting a smoke stone, depending on how you hold it, from a distance can look like someone dragging on a cigarette.
