Can I water in Dolomite Lime if I didn't add it to my mix?

So I've grown a couple of times under my 250w HPS cabinet with decent results but this last time I ran out of dolomite lime so my mix didn't get any. Of course now I'm having lock-out issues and was wondering if I can mix a bunch of DL into my watering can and effectively get it into the soil to do it's job buffering?

Will this work? It seems like it would but I wanted to get some more opinions, preferably by someone who has tried this.

Yes Just crush it as fine as you can. The PH UP I use is nothing more than powdered dolomite and H2O.
I also make sure I have lime in the soil mix also.
Good luck

if you didnt mix it in your soil and wish to get similar effects the best alternative is to sprinkle over the top soil and then work it into the top 2" of the soil, then every time you water the lime will work its self down further into the soil.

its much better than mixing in water and watering with it IMO
