Can anyone tell me what this new growth is??

I have 2 Northern Light #5', they are into week 6 of flowing and I have recently noticed some weird new "stem" like growth off the tip of some of the buds. I can't seem to find any relation to this on the Internet. Any suggestions is appreciated.

It's late flower. Just pluck them off, perhaps spritz the plants lightly with some water if you feel pollen got anywhere, and check for more and pluck those. Depending on how far you are from the chop, you may have absolutely no worries about seeds.

Will this affect the other flowering plans I have?
I did defoliate this plant thru out the flowering, but it seemed super healthy and really reaching towards the light.
Loads of crystal showing 3 weeks into flowering. Really easy happy stain to grow. I was thinking of regenerating her but am unsure now that it's a Hermie ???

ahem; these types of male flowers {bananas} tend to be caused by stress =the type of male flowers you DO want for feminizing seeds

many times however; they are sterile flowers

IF it does drop some pollen; yes! it will affect other plants {and itself}

funny how this could be a boon {seeds!} or a curse {wah; no sinsemilla}

anyway; it would only be by re-veg'n it and testing out clones that you find if it is a trait which disqualifies your plant as a potential mother {and qualifies it as a 'father'}

I would just pluck the sacks off, but keep a close eye on them if anymore come you don't catch you will have lots of seed...

Many times, yes, this is true. But almost just as often girls will throw them in late flower. I heard them described as 'survival nanners' and it does make some sense, especially in conjunction with senescense, if I understand senescense correctly. Let alone spell it.

yes; they certainly will and; i think it is a survival response too

however; and this is something the grower/'breeder' must decide for them self; strains which readily stress-herm will be less suitable for feminizing than strains which are more difficult to stress into herm'n ~lots of gray area and lots of room for subjectivity

nonetheless; cloning the plant in question would be a good way to find if this is something it will do anyway or whether the clone 'progeny' might flower normally

one should be mindful of the fact that many breeders have gone to great lengths to find pollen donors among suitable females and this could fortuitously be an 'accidental' occurrence of something quite desirable

as mentioned there are two clear perspectives here and there is also a lot of mis-info

She is trying to get your attention. Let me translate.
"Hey daddy I'm almost done. Start really paying attention to me because I am just about ready to chop. Then you can dry me, and smoke me. I can't wait to be inside you."

Now that was the gay version. I don't have time to type the non-gay version. So you will have to wing it.:)
