can 2k hps be seen by a helicopter indoor in a tent?

Guess it would depend on where your lites were set up...If your up in a attic with no insulation,a thermal imagining camera could potentialy pick up the heat signiture..Now if you liteing up a cellar i wouldnt be as concerned...

No they can't see it in a tent with temps in check like that unless maybe you are venting heat out the window of the room then they can only see the heat exhaust and that could be from many things like a clothes dryer.

cool thanks guys..so the general concensus is 2k is small taters and leo's choppers wouldnt see it ...hell yea!!

yeah you're fine if your temps are in the 70's.
if its reasonably close to the temps of the rest of your house, and livable, not scorching hot, then you should have no worries. just make sure the smell is good too

For my upgraded setup, here's what i got (GrowLab 145L)

going from seed to start out, doing 2 x 400W CMH for veg then switch to 2 x 1000W HPS.
PS, incase you aren't 100% aware the helicopters use FLIR imaging which only detects heat signatures visible from outside. So, for example, if you vented your grow through ducting out a window, FLIR would pick up a heat signature coming out of your window. That is odd for many reasons to law enforcement and is just another way they investigate.
Key - keep temperatures in check and vent through a carbon filter into your home, dispersing the heat that way it won't create any visible signatures for FLIR. Block all windows from outside view if possible.

Spot on Invisible Empire...that's what I do even though I'm legal on a state level...still grow as steathly as possible!
