Must admit Toronto has a different spin on pot then Van. or they caught them with their hand in the cookie jar. Or they are going to say they did in any case that bust went too far for sick ppl. Cops in TO are just making themselves look like the cops that are crooked.

Don't forget about the Rally on Sunday in from of Police Headquarters. Please bring everyone you know -- protest signs, whistles, noise makers, acoustic instruments etc. If you are ATP: smoke 'em if you got 'em!

So this center sold cannabis to carded members? Are they a licensed club? I thought certain centers could sell/give cannabis to licensed patients? Are the people inside not aloud to be there?

This is very confusing and looks like the united states.

EDIT: OK wait a second, I read the source. "CALM is actively lobbying for clearance from Health Canada to sell medical marijuana." So that is why the police raided the center.

The situation is very unethical - anything to do with police is normally unethical, but if the center is going against the law, doesn't that mean the police has legal rights to do a raid?

JUst wanted to let everyone know we had a rally in front of Police Headquarters yesterday. About 300 people showed-up, most of them medical patients. It was a really orderly protest. Great community support, so including a bus of people from Guelph. Lots of creative protest signs. At 4:20 we smoked-it out as our final act of protest. There was no violence, and the police even helped redirect traffic to ease some of the disabled people across the street. Some police were laughing, other were more aggressive in their "stare-downs" and "holding-of-the-outside-of-the-holster-in-a-menacing-fashion". Great event. Thanks to everyone to who attended. <3

I just heard from the people at CALM: all charges, except those against the director, Neev, have been stayed!

If you are in town please come out and show your support at the rally in front of Old City Hall at 11am.
