California State Card - Yes or No?

I have read different opinions regarding whether to apply for a state card or not. Whether its worth it or if its a bad idea.

What do those who have been involved with MMJ think? I had my rec. for a few months now and am trying to become more informed.

Is this only for those who want to grow large quantities or carry large quantities? I carry maybe an 1/8-1/4oz max(I barely have a 1/2oz at a time at home anyway) around with me. 6 mature plants is good enough for me to maintain at the moment, but if the state card would assist, in say, a neighbor complaining and action being taken then its still worth it. At least, sounds worth it? Yes? No?

:thank you:

If you get pulled over and are holding, the county issued state cards guarantee you get your meds back at the end of the stop as long as everything checks out. If you don't have one it's a gamble...

I have never heard anything about that, a STATE CARD CAN NOT DETERMINE YOUR LIMITS.

Prop 215 was designed so a patient can use AS MUCH AS HE NEEDS. NO LIMIT... No law supersede that unless it goes through a process of the House of Representatives, then Congress or the Governor.

SB420 was found to be voided as a political leader can not ammend what THE PEOPLE voted for....

If they could, our budgets and everything, why would we have a voting SYSTEM?????

And Regarding the attorny General part in sb420, stating he can clairify, etc....

Once again, sb420 was set as guidelines.

If a cop tells you that, or whoever, they are mis informed, or i missed something big down the way...

IT IS NOT MANDATED YOU GET A STATE CARD. MATTER OF FACT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. ITS A INVASION OF YOUR HIPPA RIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you dont grow and only carry small amounts, then the county card will be a waste of money for you, but you'll always have to carry your rec. with you... With the county card, your rec. doesnt mean shit to them... The county card to them means "Back the fuck Off!!!"... With a rec. you have to prove its legit... The county card screams "I'm legit" with the state seal of california, being issued from your county, and the health department logo, all on one card, plus online verification....

If you grow, get the county card!!! It will save your ass!!!!

Little story about my girlfriend and I driving into a DUI check point... LOL Well, kinda LOL... I tried to avoid it and turned left, it turns out, dont drive through a flooded wash to get away from a DUI check point LOL Because they had another check point on the flooded road LOL

Me: good evening officer

Cop: Hello sir, your not suposed to drive through the wash when its flooded.

Me: Oh... Should I go back?

Cop: No! then you'd be driving through it again....... It smells very strong like marijuana in you vehicle...

Me: Oh thats tobacco sir, my girlfriend is rolling us a cigarette.

Cop: No sir thats marijuana
.
Me: Thats fine sir...

Cop: No! thats not fine...

Me: Yes it is.

Cop: Do you have a card?

Me: Yes!

Cop: Can I see your card and marijuana?

Me: Yeah! *I pull multiple medicine bottles with cannabis inside all of them... About 4 or 5 bottles LOL

Cop: Have you been smoking any before driving?

Me: No!

Cop: Please stick out your tongue

Me: Uhhhh.... Okay... *sticks out tongue*

Cop: Your tongue is green you must be under the influence....

Me: Where did you hear that misinformation hahahaha My tongue green hahahahaha Who tought you that?

Cop: Sir please stop driving through flooded areas and drive safely... * he hands me back my county card and multiple medicine bottles with cannabis inside all of them*

Me: Ummm.... Okay you have a good evening sir

:blowbubbles:

[EDIT] This was in San Bernardino County... There is not a more anti marijuana county in Cali than the one I'm in.... Thats a huge reason I have the card!!!

http://www.cdph.ca.gov/programs/mmp/Pages/Medical Marijuana Program.aspx

Medical Marijuana Program

The Medical Marijuana Program (MMP) was established to provide a voluntary medical marijuana identification card issuance and registry program for qualified patients and their caregivers. The web-based registry system allows law enforcement and the public to verify the validity of qualified patient or caregiver's card as authorization to possess, grow, transport and/or use Medical Marijuana in California. To facilitate the verification of authorized cardholders, the verification database is available on the internet at www.calmmp.ca.gov.

In 2003, Senate Bill (SB) 420 (Chapter 875, Statutes of 2003) was passed as an extension and clarification of Proposition 215, the Compassionate Use Act of 1996. The Medical Marijuana Program, within CDPH, is administered through a patient's county of residence. Upon obtaining a recommendation from their physician for use of medicinal marijuana, patients and their primary caregivers may apply for and be issued, a Medical Marijuana Identification Card. Senate Bill 420 also required that the MMP be fully supported through the card application processing fees. Both the state and the counties have authority to cover their costs for the program through these application fees.

I have my state card, not raided yet, lol. But seriously. It's an added level of protection if you are out on the hustle... and I know you are too.

I keep my old ID badge, from working at the dispensary, in the car. Then when I get pulled over I'm like "this is my home work for my job". the officer about shit himself laughing the one time i pulled that move. but he gave me my 5 or 6 little jars of hash and buds back and I went on my way.

I'm gona bump this thread because I have a appointment scheduled this week and I'm still contemplating getting my county card or not. Are random inspections common for people who get the card? That kind of worries me. LA county
