Calcium defficiency? How do I fix this? HELP!!

sprout, since i'm about to hit the hydro store for nutes anyway do you have any good ones in mind that meet these requirements better? GH? Flora?

Also, what type of ratios am I looking for when I begin to flower since I'm just about out of Veg now?

Basically, I'd prefer and don't mind shelling out some extra bucks for an easy solution / mix that is on point and already available.

But if my best bet is fine tuning these things by using separate compounds I'm ready to do it. If it came down to this I suppose I could mix up a near perfect mix and just store it in an opaque gallon jug marked VEG and one marked FLOWER hehe... then no more worries (i hope)!

Also, I can't thank you enough for the attention you've spent so far on this thread, it really helps man and I really appreciate it.

Using this calculator and 16 units [ml] per us gallon, I got these PPM numbers for the mix I was using (2 parts boost, 1 part grow):

Boost PPM:
Nitrogen: 146
Potassium: 81
Calcium: 156
Iron: 1.988

Grow PPM:
Nitrogen: 49
Phosphorus: 64
Potassium: 242
Magnesium: 54
Sulfur: 70
Boron: 0.578
Manganese: 2.085
Zinc: 0.97
Molybdenum: 0.019
Copper: 0.186

About 15.2ml boost + 7.6 ml grow = 800 ppm according to their website http://www.technaflora.com/sharedfiles/technaflora_mixingchart_metric_english.pdf I just disregarded the thrive alive they add.

If your using 650 ppms 2:1 this works out to be 12.4ml boost + 6.2 ml grow

multiply above boost number ppm 12.4/16 and grow 6.2/16

grow
n 18
p 25
k 94
mg 21

boost
n 113
k 63
ca 121

total
n 131
p 25
k 157
ca 121
mg 21

If your aiming for 4:2:1 then you should add 1/8 teaspoon per gallon epsom salts along with everything else. This adds 15 ppm magnesium. This will increase mg 21 + 15 = 36 ppm 4 x 36 = 144 so thats close enough to 157 k and fit the ratio.

Copper would be only .07 ppm with zinc at .38 Plenty of zinc but probably not enough copper. You should maybe double copper with copper sulfate. This would only be a very very small amount and require a gram scale. Copper sulfate is cheap and used for drain cleaning of roots and available at hardware stores.

Molybdenum is also very low. Like only .007 ppms. It should be about .05 so thats 6.79 times more needed. You can purchase mo in small packs. Southern ag sells 4 ounce packs for about $3. http://www.southernag.com/PDF Files/sm.pdf It requires very small amounts to be measured.

Boron is .22 ppm and imho should be .3 to .5 so you might add more of this also. Borax at the grocery store is 11.5% boron.

See how to make a nutrient solution in my signature below in order to make a stock of mo, boron, and copper to add along. Think the brown patches on the leaves might be related to one of these being low? :chin:

There should be plenty of calcium because its so high compared to potassium and not 2:1 but more 1.3:1

Not really bad overall just needs a little copper, boron, molybdenum, and epsom. Worry about the epsom first.

Boost will always have to be 2:1 with grow because the level of fe to mn is 2:1 like this and you don't want to change this.
