ok..
now i dont have pictures so ima try to explain as best as i possibly can.
im runnin a 400 hps..the ballast is on the outside of closet..
i got a stanley blower fan exausting into the back wall of the closet wich is sealed tight and hooked up right.
its a regular size closet..
now i just hooked this stanly blower up today and it doesnt seem to be doing shit for my tempss. i just dont get it..
keep n mind i dont have intake. but i really dont see it possible for me to make intake ..
so my question is has anyone had these probloms.. anyone figure out how to fix it??
i really need my temps to drop befor my next round..
i also have a portable ac unit inside of the closet to keep things cool but thats not helping much either...
i dont have money for a cool tube at the moment so like i said any help
would save me...
thanks

id say your best bet is to turn the light off.

but in someone elses case with the same situation I would say they would need an airflow scheme that provided intake and exhaust, or Air conditioning. Of course both would be counter-productive since you would just be exhausting your cold air into a wall, which by the way if insulated is probably restricting the hell out of that blower along with no intake no wonder its not doing anything, i bet its hot as hell to.

Do some research on here there are TONS and TONS of ventilation threads I bet if you actually looked around you can find one really similar to your situation.

Make an intake by cutting a HOLE twice the exhaust size, thats how you make one.

Then turn the AC off since all thats doing is adding heat since im betting you exhaust the AC exhaust into the room the closet is in which just warms everything up some more.

The only thing you have going for you IMO is your post sort of looks like a poem or something it goes

..
.....
.......
.........
.......
.....
..

which is cool.

Good luck you will need it from the sound of it.

the ac isnt a window unit or anything. its a portable ac unit. there like 100 bucks and pretty basic. it doesnt exaust it just draws the cold air out of it then i have that exaust fan sucking all that air into the walls...

now as far as the intake..
what would u say would be my best bet..
threw the closet doors.
cut a hole above closet so it would intake from my bedroom then into the closet.
or would this work..
cut a hole in my closet similar to the exuast one. but have another stanley blower doing the opposite as the exaust...
you think theres enough air from inside of the walls for thiss.. it doesnt seem like that would work tho..
i just dont want it to be like u walk n my room andd first thing u see is some fan pullin air into a closet ya no..

and as far as looking around... i figured someone with the same problom could either explan or link to make life easier..

thanks for the reply however ill do some looking aswell

Do more than a bit of study and you will know how to grow. Every Q that you have asked has already been answered.

The fact is that the smaller the grow, the greater the inherent problems. Do some research on your own, you can't make it in life by copying answers off of your buddies test. Your Ills and Woes have been answered many times over in these forums.

Wow, tuff crowd, eh? LoL

As stated tho, there are many solutions to ur prob, it's just a matter of finding what would work best for u. As Big Nug said, passive intake 2wice the size of the exhaust hole. Also, I would put the intake at the bottom (remember heat rises) so u want thecooler air coming in the bottom & exhaust thru the top. U could maybe try cuttin a hole in the clost wall that protrudes into ur room & put a louvered vent over it (like an ac vent). Make sue to put something on the inside of the hole to help block lite from seeping in during the dark hrs....

Hope that helps ya out. We all need a helping hand sometimes. It can all be a bit overwhelming at 1st but expereince is the best teacher (not like I'm a pro or anythinig..)

Respek!

like i said befor i figured someone would like to read and help someone out .

i mean if i see a problem someones having i dont tell them to search it if i am sittin there with the answer ..
idk i guess thats to much to ask for ha

Without a place to blow your air to and without an intake youre pretty much screwed, cause the hot air can't go anywhere. You have to look and see if there's any window or something to blow the air out

thanks stay high..
and one question for you
when it comes to making the intake 2 times the size. does that mean the fan has to be 2 times the size as well?

I have read a couple of grow journals on here that said they had fans blowing in the intake for more oxygen (air) as an alternative to CO2. Now I'm sure CO2 would produce much better results but the growers said it increased yeilds & bud size. Now, I'm not much of a scientist when it comes to my grows (I just do the best I can & try to pick up as much info as possible along the way) so I do not want to spread any misinformation & I def don't wanna steer ya in the wrong direction. Here's what I would suggest...cut the intake 2wice the size of the outtake & put the intake as close to the bottom of the grow space as possible so the cooler air can pass up & thru ur plants. Have ur fan pulling air (not pushing) thru ur carbon scrubber. I would try it like that 1st & c if it cools ur temps enuff. If not then try a fan blowing in or pulling thru the intake. Now I do not believe thaqt fan would need to be twice the size. Also, u may wanna have a small fan blowing across the tops of ur plants to keep them cool & it will also help to strengthen the stems. Now as far as cfm's of the fans & all that...I won't even begin to act like I know what to tell ya there BUT there are alot of cats that have that type of knowledge on this site & hopefully they will chime in.

I do think if ur growspace has negative pressure (air tight growspace except for intake & outtake)....that would help to pull the heat thru the carbon scrubber.

Hope that helps ya out fam! Please lemme know how it turns out.

you need some sort of air flow! theres just heated, stale air blowing around in there. that will help a little im sure

Peace!
