Alright, so this years outdoor run in the desert is solidified.
From Ace:
Panama Fem
Super Malawi Haze clone from Fem seed Tikal Fem
Honduras x Panama clone from Fem seed
Neville’s Haze x Panama R&D Fem
A5hz x Panama R&D Fem
Panama x A5hz R&D Fem
Zamaldelica x Ethiopia
I’m really excited to see how all the R&D stuff plays out. I was originally also growing 2 New Caledonia’s outdoors but they’re both showing male and will be culled out shortly.

From Green Mountain:
Zacatecas Tribute
Mountain Gold
Purple Satellite
Pineapple Banana Bud

The Zacatecas tribute, mountain gold, and Purple satellite started flowering early on me due to a timer mishap and have taken forever to start re-vegging. I’m most likely gonna end up with larf monsters from it, but I’m just gonna let them roll. The smells of them in early flowering are very nice and sweet. Worst case I make a bunch of hash.

I’ll get pictures up once I’m back in town and have my shade/greenhouse finished up. It’s an embarrassing mess of temporarily reused irrigation and shade panels currently.

Thanks Dubi! Always stoked to see what your gear does in the desert.

One of the New Caledonia is going to definitely be a pollen donor. Amazing 13 bladed fan leaves and huge vigor from him.

Shade structure part way done. I need to enclose this side, do some shou sugi ban wood trim and install my doorway. Once that’s all complete things will be spaced out inside and new irrigation setup. I’m having to do it all in much smaller steps than I wanted to due to an exploded work schedule.

Hey brosky!

I love the green house. Are you in the desert? How are the upper Temps in one of those bad boys... I'm in the southwest and I'm a bit worried bout upper end Temps in july/aug for us.

I love the grow bro, looking forward to a cool show

I’m in the Sonoran Desert. We hit 122° in the yard last year. I ran a smaller version of this system last year with a 60% shade and everything did really well. All Ace and Cannabiogen genetics.
This year I’m doing a 40% shade and I expanded the shade house footprint by 8feet lengthwise and 5 feet width wise. All ACE and Green Mountain genetics.

I looked hard at doing a full greenhouse structure and after talking with friends who operate commercial food and mmj greenhouses in the area I quickly decided against it. First thing they told me was to budget $10k minimum for cooling and humidity control plus monthly power expenses and then pray it keeps up with it. 😂 full greenhouse idea nixxed.
I’m going to mount some oscillating fans as well as do some sort of wet wall/fountain in the middle to cool it down a little bit, but like last year it’ll mostly just be natural airflow through the cloth that cools things down. I get decent breezes in my area that help a little.

I still need to figure out what I’m going to do for a hard roof. May not do it this year, but some late rainstorms last year made me cut some things a few weeks earlier than desired.

Howdy Sonoran neighbor

I'm doing OK just with movable pots and moving things to shaded parts during july/Aug. Got up to 118 here last year, had a bunch of days over 115 tho. Killer heat. Literally.

Green house too much work. I thought it'd be wild. I've seen some people use big greenhouses over in the rich part of town for orchids and such.... lots of money, Jesus. Both to start it, and power to keep it going wow.

Also growing some ace/green mountain zap tribute. And some pure Oaxacaan and temple x bshw. Some Burmese and haze joining the mix. Should be a fun outdoor

For a roof, what about corrugated roof panel? My neighbor did an outdoor overhang.

Great lineup, good vibes from Canada on your crop this season.
That’s one of the things I’m looking at doing. Hard part is finding some that doesn’t block a ton of light. Everything I’ve seen is either 70%+ shade or clear but made of really cheap plastic that won’t survive here.
