Thanks for all the compliments, friends. Mr. Wags, I am honored. I have enjoyed your blazing cat since i got here (and your org hydro chops), thanks for stopping by.
AbaZabba, here are some dried bud pix from last harvest, C99 and MKU:
I see you shop at the container store too......haha.....I use the same jugs to cure me goods as well.....great thread TH and some fuckin impressive buds too boot bro........i'd tell ya to grow hard but ya seem to have that down pat......thanks for sharin
Thanks for stopping by, somoz, cannable and mcgee!
Somoz, yeah, the glass jars that hold around a QP-HP, depending on strain, are key. The only way to cure, IMO. Plastic of any kind makes for yucky budz. Glass only!
Cannable, here's my thoughts on MK Ultra. It has been a total bitch to grow and now i have eliminated it from my garden. When grown perfectly, the buds are beautiful, big and purple. Once dried and cured, the smell is oddly dusty and pretty dank, but i just don't dig it much. It's more g-13 than OG, and not as good as either. The taste is similarly unsatisfying, kinda gross even. The high is super strong couch-lock, so it does the job very well. Tons of trichs, great for hash/kief, and the hash actually tastes much nicer than the buds (i think the purple pigment might just taste bad.) But i am replacing it with Bubba in the garden. Mind you, it might just be the cut I got that smells/tastes not great, perhaps there are other MK phenos that are great. That said, i won't be trying them.
I highly recommend Bubba Kush to all. So easy to grow and oh, the smell!
WOW how the heck have I not seen this thread before! Great grow. I would LOVE to have a setup like this. Sounds pretty crazy with those helicopters too .
na man your not overdoing them keep them coming brother im jelouse of your grow setup, i have as much space as you but i cant get my grow room to look even close as good as yours.. this is giving me motivation... keep the pics coming
Come now TH: too many pics....that's poppycock bro, haha. Well the saying around here goes, if ya don't cure in glass its probably gonna taste like ass..........Which i really agree with, you get that weird rub off from the plastic that is not very pleasing...rubbermaid was meant for bubblers, storage, etc.....not for curing....imo
I agree with you about MK as well: I just ran out pack of the beans and had tremendous variation: one pheno didn't even finish!! wtf......was like day 90 and there was barely any hair formation......lmao
And the plant in general seems very susceptible to disease, bugs, etc.......I think the Bubba is a very nice replacement........never ran her but have puffed on it.....nice aromatic dank!
Anyway: nice lookin updates and don't be tuckin ur tail away bro.....ya got a nice show....so show it off..........haha.......enjoy the weekend
The "real deal" trainwreck is the viny one that was packin on crystals really fast.... TW ice's up EARLY! It can be taken down in as little as 45-49 days....
lookin good thcv: for a second there i thought you were on holiday, been awhile since an update........On that last pic it doesn't look like any of the 30+ buckets are plumbed together, are they? Would be rather difficult to hand water those mofo's i would think....
Gotta love the silicone....Which product do you use: I've had good results with the pyrosol from GH....keeps those branches sturdy and i find it helps increase my cloning %'s. Something to be said for sturdy cuts.
Somoz, i was indeed on holiday--but the ladies weren't! The 32 buckets are all connected in the multi-flow setup; i don't water them by hand. All automated.
thanks Hero. Yeah, I could def get my yield up, since i am new to this i am still getting there. I got 2.5 LBS from 2000w the first run, and I think 1.25 per 1000W should be pretty doable--in my setup that means 4 ozs per plant. Beyond that, I would need to go SCROG which i am not ready for, because i like moving the plants around as they grow. If you have tables running SOG now, that probably is the easier way to yield close to the elusive 1 gram/watt. i can't do SOG, so there it is. Then again, i never have so i am not really sure, maybe i would like it less? Seems easier though, and SOG gets such uniform colas.
I love the bucket system. Plant maintenance is so easy, you can move'em around all you want, and the multi-flow system just kicks lots of ass, and it can take very high water temps without any probs (i have hit 84 without the plants showing strain).
