They're not going anywhere though. Digilux lamps will still be available through Hydrofarm shops.

that's why the Nano Extreme got a name change to Nanolux. Hydrofarm is continuing this model ballast

The Nano is a great small digital ballast. I have run them since they came out. They rock. Hydrofarm make the Nanolux in the same factory. Only thing different is the cord. You can still find them for sale on the internet pretty cheap.

i had one get hot and lock up after 6 hours, and they are not available to even take a call just a busy signal apon looking at the art-dne it had the label on the back said it was a day/night thermostat,these guys are a bunch of ass clowns they cant even put the stcker on right

There's a company in Vancouver, BC that will be offering three-phase panels for 12, 18, 24, 36 and 48 ballasts. You will have the options of having SSR (solid state relays) or contactors. A few other options will be added like time delay and heat/smoke sensor triggers. Being three-phase they will be ideal lighting controllers for warehouse/industrial buildings and with the SSRs they will be great for digital/electronic ballasts and the 208V is fine for digital/electronic ballasts.

SSRs are okay to use with electronic ballasts and if you use them for mag ballasts, I always double the rating of the amperage and voltage when I use SSRs.

I have recycle timer,high temp shutoff,heat and cool thingys,5 fans , 4 ballasts. only one ballast went bad and I got upgraded to switchable 600 for d replacement. I think I got some of their hoods too . hey maybe I got lucky it seems

I have a CAP 8 inch inline fan; it fell 6 feet and landed on the concrete when I was trying to place it. The exterior is a little warped, but it still works like before. No extra noise. Rumor has it that this fan was sourced from GE.

They are a distributor. Sunlight Supply is a little more aggressive.

Just had two C.A.P. 600w switchable mag ballasts + both bulbs die within a few days of each other. About 2 yrs old. Forget the warranty, you cant even find capacitors or ignitors for this dog of a ballast. They are of a different spec from all other mag ballast out there it seems. It has 2 capacitors - a 60 mfd and a 4 mfd @ 300V. Each of these can run around $30.

Has anyone heard of 600w MH bulbs? I know there are conversion bulbs but then you dont need it to be switchabel anyway - a straight hps will fire it. Whats the point of a 600w switchable hps/mh?

As gnome said the ballast case design is quite stupidly designed and weak. The case cover needs to be tightly secured as it forms all the strength and rigidity when lifting it. I can follow the stoned logic of that case design as they were trying to isolate the coil from the cap/ignitor etc but there surely had to be a better way to do that than this. I dunno - everything CAP is starting to spook me like cause a fire eventually.

I'm debating between hunting down the 2 caps + ignitor vs. buying a whole new ballast which might not be much more. Then again, maybe I shouldnt get the cheapest ballast or perhaps look for one not made in china at least. The solistek digital is looking pretty good but double+ the price.
