For the money, I'd say buy yourself an old classic muscle car, and restore her. Nothing beats an early 70's Chevelle SS, or something along those lines.

Not after it's sat in Switzerland for a few years, go over there and use it. Believe me, there is a lot of adventure outside of the states. I think taking the cash, flying to a place you've always wanted to live and stick it in a secure bank account. Let the shit accumulate interest and then you've got an offshore, secure, retirement fund.

Just an idea, if you want some cool shit dude, I still say find a whip thats quick and fun to drive, just not nearly as " hey, come look at my new vette, paid cash for this bitch " kind of car. Something classy, simple but bad-ass. Like maybe a new benz? Of course, only if you want a car. Shit, you've got enough. Invest the money into your business, prepare for the collapse of the American empire, it's bound to happen at some point.

I said on the poll buy it but know that i think about it i wouldn't buy it. You can buy something way sweeter. You should look at Bmw M3 or if you got money like you said you could buy Bmw 6 series!! Bmw 6 series is a SICK!!! car, I think its around $80,000 $90,000 or if you got Lots of cash you can get the Bmw m6 which is off the charts fast and rolling in style. Also you should look into audi's , they make an audi rs6 which is sick with like 500 or 450 hp and inexpensive. Or a porsche 911 turbo - lol which is fucking awesome. I suggest you look into other cars and compare prices before you buy. There is a lot cooler and better deals on cars then that vette.

buy a 1989 Mazda RX7, and swap out the rotary motor for a Corvette LS1. It would probably beat or come very close to beating a 08 Z06.

and the whole operation will cost you less than 10 grand.

And you'd be stuck driving around in a ricer with a soda can for an exhaust pipe. Fuck that noise. IF you think a car is what you want, Audi S6, Benz S class, any model. If you've got the green backs for a Porsche, then it shouldn't even be a question.

all you paying for with an audi or Benz is the name. How exactly is a second gen rx7 [which looks like a racecar] With an american V8, what ever throaty exhaust pipe you want, and what ever interior/styling you want a ricer?

rolling rx7 shell = 400-1000 depending on condition
LS1 = 3000 tops with probably 20k miles on it
T56 6speed tranny = 1000 tops
Driveline components and a ford 8.8 inch rear differential = 1000 tops

Already only after at most 6000 dollars you have a car that:
A. will run a 12 second quarter mile on STOCK TIRES and much much faster with wider tires and even faster with drag radials
B. Is of you own creation that has your blood, sweat, tears, and soul in it.
C. Is extremely agile, extremely fast, has the potential to go even faster than it already is with a stock motor.


now the 6grand estimate is with motor and driveline components only. If you find a good donor car, the interior will be in good condition. if you mashing the gas in it who cares what the hell the dashboard looks like anyways. If you bought brakes, tires, wheels, seats, interior, stereo, speakers, anything else, you will still be below the 20 grand mark.

so basically, you get to build you own rod and customize it to you liking. Do all the tuning yourself to perfect your machine. BEAT corvettes because the rx7 is a much lighter car. And spend literally, 1/8th of what you were gonna spend on a corvette that you can't afford.
