Butte thnx for the tutorial. i've been thinking that i could tumble my mj(trim) and the make bubble with the used tumbled trim, or oil.... but my question to you is, do you think it would be worth it? ... how much is left on the trimmed leaves? thnx again!
Well, the I think the strain makes a big difference, but there were quite a few stalks left on the leaves. I water cured the trim and then dropped it in with some iso. I've got a rig that shakes the jars for a half hour every four hours on a timer. I put that in the corner and forgot about it. I think it'll be worthwhile, but no results yet...

Well, I guess it did take a while, but it was so much fun I don't thinkk I really noticed! Scraping up quarter to half ounces of kif every time was a real trip. :woohoo:

Oh yeah, I would tumble for 10 minutes, scrape, and then for another 45-hour depending on how lazy I was. :D

I've heard of people putting a ball inside the tumbler to assist in the process. Did you use a ball or was the trim wieght enough?

Hey there

I put a dozen 1/2" marbles in there to bounce around. Worked really well.

Thanks for the compliments...it's almost that time of year again!

Holy smokes! Thats a hell of a kief stash! :D You could be stoned for a decade w/ that. Thanks so much for takin the time to share your project w/ us. I'll likely make one next year when i have a can get a little more trim. So was it a few hours total you had it running, or was it quicker?

Looks like a little trouble and luck involved in getting an electric motor to drive the drum. May make a hand crank model if i can't get a motor to hook up at the correct speed. There is a hobby shop nearby though.

I've got a wood splitter too, to use for pressing. Thanks again for showin us your techniques.

I can't even imagine what a pound of kif would look like in real life.

Thanks for posting this up. I've got all sorts of ideas now for a smaller version...

Really.......

I remember on OG, someone posted a pic, with a bunch of arab guys in a drying hut, looking at a pile of kif, well past their knees.

How much bud does it take to get 5 grams of keif, like that pile on the scale there? That looks sooooo good.

Edit: Just saw a post, half pound per 5 pounds of trim. Have you done this with good buds, or just trim?

So I was just in the kitchen, watching my dinner cook on my Showtime Rotisserie, when I thought "Hey, I've seen a tumbler hooked up to something like this before..."

I found this thread, and was surprised that I was the last person that posted.

You can see the little holes around the outside of the black disc that spins around, I figured I could just staple a screen to several dowels (I think that's what they're called) and "Set it and forget it!"

I was watching it go around, and it took around 10 seconds to complete one rotation. Would 6 RPM be enough? Does this plan look feasible?

As a matter of fact, I think it would work. Make sure to show us your finished design!
