Great shots there, Butte. You and your buddies ARE rockin' out! Just beautiful! Did you find many of those borer beetles in your crop? Good to hear the county official's visit went smoothly. Looking forward to some harvest shots.
You know, the beetles where only on those two plants. They were off to the side near some of the dead manzanita I have pile up to keep rabbits down.
The first NW came down today with some random sampling here and there of the other strains. The PK is really a pretty bud all trimmed up; I'm looking forward to seeing the big colas stripped of their leaves...calyx porn gets me everytime
Some chilly nights and mornings have me working in the garden with long sleeves and pants. It's bringing out the purple in the PK quite a bit, though.
The lesser amount of light the L3 got have ripened the two NW's enough to harvest this weekend. I think I'm going to let the PK go a bit longer, but even the Rom is ripening up. Seems a little early this year, but I'm not complaining as I sample the first PK that's dry enough to smoke!
So, just a couple budshots today and a kinda 'dreamy' looking macro...
I love your scrog Butte! I had intended on working on something similar this year but i guess i just forgot joint i really wanted to do someting that would force the plant to branch out immediately during veg. I like the idea of using a circular/dome like fence to cover the pots. Has anyone tried this before?
Peace,

Just thought I’d put a little update online while I take a break from tying up plants. The winds been kickin’ really hard all night and is still gusting hard. Nothing broke in the wind, but the main garden looks like a marionette’s nightmare...or wet dream...depends on the marionette!
Anyway, we had some rain since the last update and the PK’s been harvested, trimmed and is curing now. That’s four down and eight to go. A friend and I spent most of yesterday tying up an elevated screen above the RMTSCROG. All the colas got laid down in the rainstorm and, with the wind coming, I thought it would be worth the effort. I think I still have a few weeks on that one, so I constructed the frame to accept a roof later on if I need it.
So, here’s the TSCROG with the added support and a dish of treats to leave you with...
It’s been a busy time around the Rancho Relaxo, but it is always a great time of year. Mother Nature has been extremely kind to all of us in Nor Cal and I want to send out a big ‘THANK YOU!’ for that!
The PK is finished and cured and came in at just under two pounds at 816 grams. I didn’t keep the two Northern Wrecks that have been harvested from the long three separate, but they came in at a pound for the both. Not as good as I would have hoped for, but no real complaints. I don’t think I’ll use that plot again next year, however.
The Urple and the big NW from the main garden are trimmed and curing and I’m looking forward to seeing what they pull in. Should be plenty to hold me over the winter, but my tolerance is somewhere north of Bob Marley right now, so we’ll see!
So, I’ve been too busy/ too high to take too many photos, so I snapped this one a few days back to hold you over. I’ll try to get some shots up soon, but this PK dry sift is wrecking me! On the up-side, my pain level has stayed fairly manageable and that’s always a plus.
