walt, this county is hard on felonies according to the public defender, who is actually a really good lawyer and well respected by everyone, unlike a lot of them. in this county anyone who pleads to a felony (or pleads it down to misdemeanor) goes directly to jail, then sentencing is in 30 days. my guideline was only 0-1 month so they sentenced me to time served, some fines, and no probation.
about the friend who narc'ed, it was a situation involving me and another friend's girlfriend that i should not have involved him in. like i said, it was a stupid and hard lesson learned.
since my last post i am now a caregiver for a couple MMJ patients! dont want to give clues to my state/location, but lets just say from a legal standpoint i am now completely unconcerned about the local cops, their hands are tied, and there is no chance of federal involvement here. big load off my back. from a pragmatic point of view its not a good idea to tell people about your grow even if its legal, but now im not going to try hard to keep it a secret. im of the mindset that i'm NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG by growing a plant. if i'm legally protected, fuck whoever wants to say something about it.
still gotta run some wiring in the grow room, only got enough to run one bulb + heater now, but i got the first plants sprouted and things are underway. pics and grow thread soon.
