Road blocks are VERY common on any of those major routes whether it be the sea the sky or the coquihalla or whatever. Sucks that you got pinched but damn all they did was take your weed and give you a fine? I thought the rule was anything over an OZ was considered criminal here in BC. You should be happy to have gotten some laid back cops as getting caught by a douchebag cop with a half-pound could lead to some more serious complications.

I was worried at first, but as the conversation progressed and I still had not been arrested I began to realize he probably wasn't going to take me in.

I think part of the reason he didn't take me in is because he was quite young. Maybe 25-28?

He knew we weren't bad people doing bad things. Just a couple of guys his age smoking joints and minding our own buisiness. We just happened to have a decent sized sac with us.

He took it. Issued me a violation and I was out of their.

Thanks for the story.

As a resident of a much harsher area, my first response was "Hmmm, maybe I'll rethink moving to Kelowna". Haven't been there since a big triathlon race many years ago, but it's a beautiful area. And if the cops let you go after that, so much the better.

Gotta love living in Canada........eh?

I got caught with 110 flowering plants, a week from harvest, 6 rooted clones and 4 3ft tall moms.

I have a record as long as my arm, thought I was going away for sure.

I got a 2500$ fine, thats it....

I kinda feel sorry for you guys living in the state's, you guys got way harsher penelties then us canadians for sure.

Glad to her you didn't get into too much shit VagPuncher.

Not a whole lot of sympathetic replies in this thread it seems?

Must be an incredibly satisfying feeling for those of you.. to have come so far in life without having ever done something foolish yourselves? I really wish I could relate, I suppose I'm just not as clever??

Or perhaps some of you have done some stupid shit, and have simply never benefited from having a sympathetic ear? If so, that really is unfortunate.

It's true what many have said however, that you could be much worse off as a result of this occurrence. Be thankful you live in one of the planets more civilized locations, there are many places where your life could/would be turned upside down were that to happen.

I for one though respect your honesty VagPuncher. I think it takes some stones to admit your mistakes, particularly the foolish ones! The key, which I'm certain you will come to realize(if you don't already), is to learn from them, and be smarter in the future.
For what its worth too V.P, if other persons on this forum should read this and learn from it also, then I think your post was definitely worth the effort!
Take your pinch, pay your fine and move on!!

I know what you mean and I totally agree but you must understand, it was still a stupid thing to do, it all boils down to how badly do I not wanna get caught with all this pot? Can I wait till I'm at home in my comfy ass chair to smoke my fatty? I can, so though I certainly do feel bad for him that this happened I also don't pitty that it did because unfortunately it was his fault. I know the pigs are stupid but there only doing there job that's why:

WE MUST GET THE POT LAWS CHANGED!

We've known this for years and have yet to do it so we must try HARDER.

Damn once again I feel very blessed. If I got pulled over with 1/2 lb in the car the cops would be getting sued by me if they took it. The odds of cops taking weed from patients here is very slim.

I also feel like smoking while driving isn't the best idea, but on the flip side, smoking while driving is a great experience (for me at least).

no shit...around here and most everywhere else i've spent time a half pound would be possession with intent to distribute...and if burnt bud was found in the car there would most likely be dwid (driving while intoxicated-drugs) charge to go along with it!

I can't think of anywhere in the Country that they let you walk away with a ticket on a half pound. And to not do anything regarding the driving and smoking seems odd to....

hate to say it man but i really doubt if that dui is going to just fade away. have you been stopped and run thru ncis since then? if not you might want to see about getting it taken care of before you get picked off at a most inconvenient time...like how it usually works.

To the OP, I find it unbelievable you would come to an internet forum to complain about this after being so lucky, and call the cops "Assholes" after apparently getting caught by the coolest cop in canada.

Ya know what else? Don't drive stoned asshole. We don't need your stupid ass running into and killing a minivan full of children. That kind of irresponsibility does not help our cause.
