It's it all about showing some support. After all theoretically any one of us could be facing death in Dubai right now if we were busted there for an ounce.

So it's nine pounds or some such thing still, it's got to feel horrible facing prison.

I guess if you have never been to jail/prison you may not understand and sympathize.

I think that's the point of the descent.

I also think The Buddha would try to enlighten rather then punish. But that would be compassion which is different from American Justice.

I agree with you man 100%, there's nothing I can say that could ever help me to understand what Alaskind is going through, honestly I'd probably be crying if I were in his position, I definitely do not want to ever serve prison time for an herb and I do sympathize with him for that reason alone, but I was only sharing my input after another member, whom had a point to his post, was told that he should be shot lol. I am a very sympathetic person but at the same time I am a person that thinks with logic's before anything and seriously, for one consumer? 10 HIDS? I mean maybe he doesn't have access to a computer but honestly all we know is he got busted with some lbs, a few lights & 6 mothers. So we don't know if this was some what of a commercial grow, a care giver, personal etc..Sometimes we gotta know when to say enough is enough. Just because we don't want to get caught doesn't mean we can't or won't. All I'm saying is everyone should be safe and be sure what you're doing is worth the risk.

if your in a state that has law for medical cannabis follow the rules very simple. I can have 6 in flower and 18 cuts with 28oz of dry bud. Thats plenty for me to smoke every year. I just turn the old bud into hash if I cant get to it.

Actually that is a sensible regulation for general legalization.

Above that ( for personal use ) it looks suspicious.

Its the commercial growers that helped push the envelope for the medical states to have what they have now.

Plus...........Not everyone is in a position to grow for themselves. Someone has to be the one that takes the risk for the deadbeats crying about cost. The criers have no clue what it really takes. I see em coming on here all the time asking questions about growing in a closet and trying to get by with a getto grow and realizing how much money it actually takes to set up a proper indoor grow op. Not to mention the expertise it takes to run several hundred plants all screaming for attention 24/7 with minimal compensation at the end of all the hard work..............Its not all glory boys !!!

Oh I understand how much it costs to buy equipment and the dedication it requires to produce good produce.

I agree that only a small percentage of consumers have the ability to see a grow through.

Oh One point i wanted to make is Standard Brands.

I can imagine consumers buying standard brands; Strains that are uniform in quality and potency.

Not all people want a heavy stone. I'd be tempted for a light stone and great flavor/smell and a smooth smooth smoke.

when I come here and look at other peoples works from around the world I find my self delighted to see how it expresses itself in others

Eveyr grow, every smoke, good or bad, noob or expert, well its all good to me

and to me if we could celebrate what we have in common and appreaciuate our differences for what they are we would have a community wiht more voices than most any other

what does for use to see that for all of us cannabis is something we all have a passion for regarless of reason

to focus on anyhting but what we have in common, and whats in our colletive best interest is just as detrimental as the opposition that seeks to prohibit marijuana form our society

after decades of smoking i realize that its not me that borught us here but that my freedoms have been paved through the sufferiong and sacrifice of others

Great conversation and all, but who knows if this poster was even for real, one post about this situation and he dissapears, even if he isn't real, it was good to see how hypocritical people can be and what a hard road this one is, that of legalizing Cannabis.
We have people on this site seeming to think it's ok that a person faces many years in jail for such a peaceful and beneficial activity such as growing herb.

If it weren't for people like Alaskind, you kids, yes you haters sound like kids, would not have smoked your your first joint or bowl and would not have been fortunate to buy it for so many years..

on I was visited by sherriffs with a warrant and was busted with about 9 lbs of trainwreck 10 or 11 lights and six growing mothers. just dont relax your security. looks like ill be doing some time in the pen.

thank you for providing herbs for your community good sir, you will be missed. If I were you i'd get a fake ID and go to canada.... you can still cross the border without a passport until jun1st..... give it a few years get settled in canada and you might can start growing again...

My last show was 10 lights of bubba kush. 11 pounds harvested. 10 lbs. Legally Sold to the dispensary for top dollar too! My next grow might be 20 on a flip flop. Call me greedy!
But don't call alaskind anything but balzy!!! Ok maybe shoulda moved to Cali, but rock on brotha! I love this place. 2 out of 30 posters think they are right... What are the odds???
Maybe their right! Maybe I should smoke less than 3/4-1 p a month! But I can't, and 1 pound only gets me halfway through a crop if that, so maybe I should hold on 2 lbs each

Looks like this thread ended up with a great group. To all who go big, thanks. To anybody who grows, thanks. And to those with the negative posts, thanks for leaving the thread. To Alaskind, thanks for not posting anymore as it is a step towards being proactive with the case at hand. I wonder if it would be possible to start a growers legal foundation in which lawyers could donate their time, as well as fellow growers could anonymously donate some of their profits to help those in Alaskind's shoes. I have learned via a long road of hard knocks that before arguing, speaking or even posting it is a good idea to first put yourself in the other persons shoes. Karma, One Love.
