Burnt Top Cola during Flowering..advice please

Hi all,

Currently running one blueberry plant under a 125 watt envirolite and it is 16 days in flowering. It is a female and last night manage to stretch its way all the way into the light and burnt its top cola.

It is absolutely frazzled and has no way of recovering so I thought the best option was to top the plant since it was very early in flowering.

Was this a wise decision? I know it will stunt the plant for about a week.

leave it be...it has topped itself. I remember having some of my biggest yields/cola's from burnt tops early on... Hopefully yours will recover fine :)

When the plant is thirsty you can bend the flexible stems and tie them down some to get them away from the light.

Thats music to my ears sunnyside. I can now smoke this joint with a smile :)

I can't remember exactly, but I am pretty sure that is what happened to this girl...she got her top burnt by the light. Then exploded.

sunnyside is right, i had that happen with my jack herer x white rhino. the main tip got into the sweet spot of the reflector and got cooked. but it forked out 3 ways a few days afterwards, just give it time to adjust.

you can see how the top looks kind of like a pitchfork.

Sounds good. I have seen the top cola forking three ways now. She is recovering well and hasn't really stunted itself too much.

Thanks for your help.
